I don't know if I have that much left. My son bring a cart full to the door, fills it back up when low. I am trusting he'll let me know when I have to reorder. There are no shortages of pellets around here.

I can't remember when it started - I've been leaving chit out of the stove all season. :picard:

Flame trap, ash grate, ash pan (that was messy), burn pot the other day. It's really neat that opening the door stops the auger motor..

I'm glad there's usually adult supervision around when it happens.

    Weather has been WINTER here.

    Snow and cold.

Last night about midnight I get a text from one of the boarders in our stable telling me the skid steer is DEAD.
    Arrrrrrgh

I crawl out of bed and drive down to the barn.

YUP, DEAD AS A DOOR NAIL..
    Jump it and still dead.

Got tools and rip the cover off the fuse panel.

30 amp main power fuse is gone.

Go back to the house and dig into my electrical parts drawer and find ONE FUSE..
Back to the barn, install said fuse.. Skid steer coughed to life.

    Battery is very weak.
Battery was an Optima Red top but its 11 years old.

Today we ripped out the old battery and dropped in a fresh one.

    Gawd what a difference.

Started at 35 F without even hitting the glow plug cycle.

RIG has a 4 cylinder Kubota diesel in it.

Did some other maintenance while we were at it.

    Much better.

Got that stuff done and then it was time for a good cleaning of the BIG WHIT before it gets cold again...

WE made a difference today... yessssssssssssssssssss.

Starting to see some parts for the Astro van snow cat conversion showing up too.

Really getting excited about that little beast.

    Ah well...

Purple, blue, or blackish hands & feet did it for me, I don't even need to say a word, just show him my hands, feet- hopper gets filled and setting turned up.

On another note, he says we have around 50 bags of pellets left and we will need to buy more. Not bad considering we bought two less tons this year, but still having some feelings like the "two brothers from another mother" boys here.

Uggg, the 802's burn well but the stove went out again with at least 20-25 lbs stuck in the hopper. I will empty and lube it again tonight. 2nd lube in 3 weeks. No other pellets have done this in 8 years burning.

You left out the ash pan? At least I'm not that bad - yet.

This was the first time I've missed putting anything back in since I had the Hastings (fall of 2015 it was removed) so it was inevitable it would happen at some point. Just don't want it to become a habit.
