Back in December right after they let me out of the hospital a bunch of great guys showed up and wanted to work. Who was I to stop them?!!! First order of business was to put the snow blade on the atv to get ready for shoving white stuff around. Thank you men!

Now, our snow has melted and we have not used the snow blade for some time. Yet, it is still February and we have March to go through yet. So, do I remove the blade or not?

btw, it would be easier to get around in the woods without that blade on the atv.

I would leave it on unless you plan on using the FEL on your tractor for snow removal.

Our area usually gets some heavy snows in March or even April so I'm going off our past history. Once the people start raking their yards in March we usually get nailed with the heavy chit about a week later.

We used to get heavy snows in March but have gone several years now without. Maybe we are due?

I have no intentions of putting my snowblower away for the season. Then again, I am a little bit more north than you, and it's not affecting any wood gathering efforts of mine.

If you take the plow off, you're guaranteed to get that big snowstorm.

Like thewoodlands suggests about the FEL on the ‘Bota, I’d take the blade off the 4 wheeler... unless the tractor is not very handy moving snow?
Of course, if you got in a bind Dennis, I’m sure any one of those great fellas you mentioned above would be there lickety split to help out!

My 2 cents, keep one of your machines ready to move snow. That is all you really need. Loose that, and you are going to be SOL. Should you get another plow able snow, (odds are you will) you will not want to have to go rig up a machine. If you are feeling under the weather, that is no time to have to be putting on some rigging. You have two nice rigs that can pull wood and move snow.
March can be one of the snowiest month of the year. Think of it like insurance. You know better than to go on the road without it.

Mike, aren't you in MA? If so, you are not further north.

I really should have added that it is a fairly quick and easy job to mount or remove the snow blade. I remember one winter that I did it 4 times at least. We were cutting wood and needed to get around in tight spots so removed the blade then put it back on when it was needed.

We can get some heavy Spring snow.
I wouldn't take it off unless it was quick attach easy to put right back on.

Or take it off and just wait on the inevitable snow to melt before going anywhere.
