That really sucks man. There was a line of storms went through down there today did you get more rain?
What a bummer Ralphie Boy. We had 3.25 " of rain here, but I'm on high ground. Lotsa flooding along waterways & over roads though. Really feel for people that get flooded. What a mess. How far you gotta chase that wood?
I have to say that despite such crappy luck, I admire your attitude Ralphie Boy and you are one that always sees the glass half full...Fill up one for me and allow me to toast in your honor...we deal with that crap here all the time though most generally I am not affected...You can fight fire, you can block and brace for wind but for the most part, you cant do a dang thing about water-it's a mutha for sure-Hang in there and we'll be praying for ya and the rain to stop
Many inches! Thing is, it rained many inches all the way up the entire Ohio Valley and all its tributaries.
Rain through tonight and, as the prognosticators say, heavy at times. Current prediction is the river, in Cincinnati, will crest sometime Tuesday several feet above flood stage.
That's terrible, hopefully there's not much damage once the water recedes. Have you had floods in that area before or is this completely unexpected? If you need more wood, I'll share some of my stacks with you, but you have to come over here and get it yourself
The house is safe it's across the road and up the hill. A great vantage point for watching things float by. Thanks for your concern. The loss of a bit of firewood is laughable compared to what others in the valley may loose.
Great attitude Ralphie Boy, .. Glad you had foresight to buy a house on a hill. If my house floods all saws will be sold to buy a big boat. Like ark size
Not much of a problem, I can easly get more wood, some folks are going to have a hard time replacing their personal property. I feel bad for them.
If you were sued because you under-estimated the wind potentials would you ever under-estimate again ?
