I really like the looks of the Allure, which is copied from China stoves, which was copied from Italian stoves, which was copied from the Accentra.LOL Kinda full circle.:D

Maybe the vague standing rectangle shape, but that's about it......it's more contemporary, easier to clean, touch control, much larger hopper, different trim options, lighted hopper, and more expensive. The TC is pretty cool.....don't need a DDM anymore. We have had pretty good luck with the reliability as well. Bad stuff? You still have to clean it, and parts, like the combustion fan, are more difficult to source and more expensive.

Speaking of parts, one of the first questions I asked the dealer is do they stock the parts, he said yes they stock all the motors and most common parts.

What the h___now you tell I'm gonna have to clean it, I'm gonna see if I can get my deposit back then.

you might be surprised, Rich, what people think......
Its great they stock parts! Just for fun, give them a little test.....tell them you are thinking of buying an extra combustion fan, and could you take it with you?

I am gonna have to go with LW here, what I see is an upgraded stove/unit.The combustion blower appears to be an ebm/pabst,same as an austroflamm, also used in other stoves, just took a while for harman to climb on board.I think Harman made a leap forward(is good),but failed with the "hidden menu" to adjust the combustion fan speeds, same thing England did,bit them in the a##,Harman needs to learn to release information to remain the top unit.Just my thoughts.Being a mechanic,I would never buy a product that I could not obtain repair information for the product, and would have to rely on a repair technician that lives 100 miles away.

oh trust me I looked very hard for a cheaper option, all most went with a hudson river kinderhook but just could not get past the looks of it.

This Harman better live up to the hype or all the fan boys will never hear the end of it. :D

yea, get what you're saying with the combustion fan speed, but the menu isn't all that hidden, and the password is common knowledge at this point. Having to work on these things, and help people keep theirs running, the ability to slow down the combustion fan is a scary thing.....similar to setting dip switches without directions or knowing what circuitboard you have.....If I have to go to someones place to reset their settings because they are monkeying around with them and their stove wont run......Ima charging for it......why would you slow you're fan?
A good thing though is MUCH more accessibility and the ability to change things, which couldn't have been changed before....I worried about it a bit when we started selling them, but it hasn't appeared as an issue yet. One fault I do see is the fuel calibration.....its a software attempt at monitoring fuel, but in my experience its less than ideal....heck, youve got a lighted, glass lid....get off yer kiester and see where the fuel level is!

I might spill my drink getting out of the reclining chair.. That needs to be FIXED, ASAP! :D

The Francesca has a Pabst combustion blower motor, 11 yrs. old - it takes one finger to spin the blade for at least 45 seconds after deep cleaning.. Perfectly balanced ... one of the best motors I've had the pleasure to own/service.

This alone would make me consider the Allure stove. Congrats Rich!
