Colder here. What's your temp? What ya burnin?

Probably a lot like other areas hey? Including your awesome state of Washington. I live in BC as you know which is often known as a mild province but tell that to my wife and kids. My 16 year old daughter didn't mind telling me that she went to school in -26c/-15f this morning. Our family in Vancouver were mild in comparison. LOL I love the cold.

I'm psyched for the dump today and tomorrow! I expect some early season cleanups to arrive.

38 and rain lots of rain, half an inch so far another inch expected. That's no big deal but the snow melt on top of it with rivers still frozen has most of north east in a flood watch.

 

I don’t mind the cold just being cold isn’t fun. If anything the mild cold is relative.
Here we’re getting down into the low 20’s for the couple nights. A little bit of up and down but nothing much above 40... just when its this cold I’m more alert on the kids when I’m outside with them at work.

 

Sweet! I'm waiting on an address from someone in Methuen to check out several downed trees. Slow as hell replying to emails. Took 2 days to respond to the first one.

First load, some birch brush. There's one larger piece at the bottom. I'll use the pruners on the small stuff, for kindling.

 

-30c/-22f this morning when I got up. Burning pine. The sun is out. Ill be out on the highway in a bit surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. It never gets old.

Everything's cold ,,, even the 'pane !!!!!!!!

 

68° here. Second load, watched the city crew dump this. Mostly too big, but I got a load of smaller stuff. Some kind of maple? Maurice showed up just after I finished, and he was going to cut some of it with his electric chainsaw, right there at the dump. He said he does that pretty often, but the battery wears out pretty quick.

 

I'd say red maple, but could be sugar I guess. Thicker, redder bark points to red imo. Either way, the price was right!

58 here, morning load of walnut and cherry still cruising. I uncovered part of a stack and found a nice vertical end.. unintentional, but cool anyway.

 

Something like -2°c outside...burning Oak, Black Locust and Fir.
