I lit up the grill last night after work as my wife got a nice bone in strip steak on sale. That was real nice and gooder.
I honesty did a lot more smoking this winter then I did in the summer. Part of it is bc we’re slower at work in the winter. I don’t mind smoking in the cold, I use all wood on my big smoker so I just need a bigger fire
This was my grill in Feb 2015. We got something like 110" of snow in about 3.5 weeks. Lost a car that month too!
Now that some "warmer" weather has started to show its face Ive been thinking about digging her out soon. I had bigger shoveling priorities today though. I had some stacks that were buried and want them to be able to breath so that I can burn them this spring. Having top covered stacks buried in snow and then having a melt event does not make for dry wood.
Thought I would mention to the gang that Ive since shoveled some snow away from said bbq and also allowed some melting to assist. The base is still in snow but Ive used it, mostly to cook fish so we dont have to smell it in the house. Im more interested this spring in using my wood burning bbq for cooking so that should be fun. Now that we are warming up a bit the Bradley smoker is going to emerge again as well. I have a hard time getting it above 200f when its cold out. There will be many great grill days ahead for all of us this year for sure!
