I dug around Loon , but all I got was that error. Have you contacted Photo Bucket to see what can be done.

We took our cat, Melody, into the vet today for a teeth cleaning. Vet called when part way thru the procedure and informed us he found what appeared to be a tumor inside her mouth and under her tongue. He asked if we wanted him to do a byopsy for $260.00 to see if it was cancer. He went on to inform us that if it was cancer there is no viable treatment. Melody is about 15 years old and we have had her for 10 years. We know that pets don't live forever and considering her age we have decided to let her finish out her lilfe doing what she has enjoyed. She has been an indoor/outdoor cat and is a great mouser. She does not like to spend much time outside in the winter, never has. When spring comes she will be allowed to spend as much time outside as she wants. We will know when it is time to do the right thing by her and put her down. Not something either of us are looking forward to but it comes with pet ownership. Until then we will continue to love her as always and let her live her life on her terms.:(

Melody could have several years left. Just because it is a tumor doesn't mean it is cancerous, or if it is, may not be fast growing. As you said, you will know when it is time to let her go. I'm hoping that it will be much later than you think right now.

Thanks bogieb, wildwest and Well Seasoned for you kind words and understanding. The doc did not say anything about how much time she has left. He was pretty sure it was cancer based on his experience.
Melody also experienced a torn ACL a few months ago but is getting around OK. And to add insult to injury, while at the vets yesterday they trimmed her claws which makes it harder for her to jump up on a bed. She needs help once in awhile to get into her cat bed. I took this picture recently of her enjoying a nice fire. She has been a bit spoiled as the second pic shows:thumbs:

Sorry to hear about this Erik B. We went through this just over a year ago with a great cat of about 16 years old. She was pretty good and declined in about 24 hours. It was a tough loss for the family because of the suddeness, especially on the kiddos.

Today is the one year anniversary of adopting Luna. Different cat, quite a bit mischievous but she helped fill the void.

I agree with your decision. The MD I go to told me about his old cat whom he spent R$9000 on because his wife wanted to do everything they could. They still were not able to save her. Best to spend that money keeping her comfortable.
