-13 at home yesterday morning -heat wave today only -1, tractor going in for repairs today. I got it started ( diesel ) and up to temp before I left don't know if they will as lucky by the time they pick it up. MF1230 from the 90's
We had 19 this morning so we put some Yellow Birch in the Liberty. We have a winter storm warning for this area (6-9 inches of the white stuff) but they have us grouped in with towns well south of us so we could get less. The next three nights they have us in single digits with some of the days getting to 20 so we'll take it.
We should have a low of around 5 so I'll throw a bag of pellets in and build a small fire in the Liberty. Tomorrow I'll need to take some ashes out of the wood stove.
I don't like cleaning the ashes out but I don't like a whole bunch in there either, it's a pain in the butt pushing the ashes back and forth and not enough room to load good. On top of that I get it cleaner burn without all the ashes in there
We hit a low of 7 but when we rolled out of the sleeper this morning it was 13 trending up. After doing a few things the ashes went out and a new fire was started. The wood we brought in the other day got stacked in the rack so we have two full racks with some Oak in the third rack.
We're heading down to 7 for a low, more Sugar Maple & Oak for the overnight fire in the Liberty and in the other corner we'll set the Pellet Stove on 77 for the night.
We had a low of 6 this morning, more Sugar Maple & Yellow Birch went in the Liberty this morning. Our low should be about the same tomorrow morning.
We had 2 for a low this morning, more of the same in the Liberty. I didn't use the Pellet Stove overnight (should've) so depending on the temp tonight..........it might get used.
We had 32 this morning with about an inch of snow that fell overnight. The snow finally started about 20 minutes ago, they're calling for 3-6. They're also calling for some ice so that will make things slick.
Took this picture on the way to work couple years ago. I went down through a draw and it was reading -30 but by the time I got the phone out to take a picture I was going up the hill on the other side and it had warmed up a bit.
Yes it does. I believe that truck thermometer is pretty accurate too. It's always within a degree or two of the local radio stations official report.
This year we had -35 when the first arctic cold came in, things just feel or act different when you hit those temps.
