Oh she is adorable. I used to have a short haired Border Collie, too smart for his own good. She'll be a lot of fun.

Don't you hate that. One is so helpless. The fancy feast can shouldn't be a problem unless she cut herself internally but metal shows up on x-rays and internal bleeding would show on the blood test, i would think.
I know you'll keep a close eye on her, keep us posted.

Puppies are always adorable. That breed is very intelligent and can get into trouble quite readily unless they receive appropriate attention and outlets - get your running shoes on :D

I don't like generalizing by breed they all have their own personalities. Mine always tried to be way too "helpful". Like a child he watched us intently and tried to imitate what we did. Had no trouble opening gates and doors. The herding instinct got ours into trouble when others didn't want to do what he thought they should. Got into a fight with our Pointer girl when i was trying to put her up. He thought he'd speed up the process and nipped her in the butt. That caused an outright fight with a vet visit and stitches. Kate our Pointer was the boss in that relation ship and was not letting a younger and smaller upstart take over, she kept her role until she passed of leukemia. Other than that they were good natured even slept in the same bed, no squabbles over food or toys.
When i picked him up, i think that was his first car ride ever. We had to go under several overpasses. He watched the top of the bridges coming closer and then looked at me and back at the bridge and then he'd duck. He was convinced I was crazy, there was no way we could fit through that little hole.
Have lots of fun with your girl. Below Baby and Kate.

Blondie's pain pills say 1-2 every 8-12 hours. Of course I gave her 2, she has barely moved in like 4 days and cries at the slightest movement. The pills make her sleepy, she made it from the couch to the laundry room today (its very cool in the laundry room) but that is better than the previous 3 days.

The vet is stumped as well as me, I know that darling doggie. Bones are good, internals are good. Back molars are bad but no where near abscess. WWW needs to make up for time off work this week for the vet visits but will let me know on Monday when we can sched a dental and get those molars extracted.

Do any of you know, if it is some kind of pulled muscle how long that kind of thing takes to heal?

(also, she finally drank last night, a whole bowl, she has not been out to potty to I'm curious if theres an accident somewhere I haven't seen yet......)

Pulled muscles and ligaments can take months to heal. However, pulled muscles or similar injuries not even a broken leg causes them to be that lethargic. The pain meds could keep her down depending on what she is on. Did you do a full body x-ray? Is it just one leg that makes her cry or any body movement? Be careful with the pain meds, dogs aren't as tolerant as we are. Give her a hug from me.

thanks, I pm'd you :). She did not start the pain meds until last night. Yes, it's her front right leg/shoulder/neck that makes her cry.

Must be very frustrating not being able to figure out exactly what the issue is - and heartbreaking to know Blondie is in distress. Wish they could talk to us so we could get to the root of things more quickly . Hope you can figure it out and get her on the mend, and more comfortable quickly.
