NOAA isn't the only one guilty of the above mentioned problems, we suffer it as well with our weather guessers.
The snow band didn't go that far west , it snowed here and I had it all cleared out yesterday 17°F-8°C now , they say 2 tonight, ash in the box
Nice looking fish! The last time I went pike fishing I caught one that measured in at just over two feet long. It was my first pike. It didnt fight at all which was a big change from the trout I hook through the ice.
The one I brought home was. Im pretty good at filleting but doing it on a pike is way different than a trout or salmon. I watched a you tube video a few times and did a pretty good job for my first time.
Must be lazy pikes in BC Most pikes here put up a really good fight, even some of the 18-20 inch are full of pizz n vinegar! That's river fishing in the summer, maybe they're more docile while ice fishing.
I look at a lot of pictures on the net, & save some to my phone. Then I post some of them here, if I think people would enjoy them.
High twenties here, snow falling pretty aggressively. Got probably six inches here today, then it did the freezing rain thing for a while, now back to score because I was dumb enough to run the blower. Red maple still the order of the day. Think I'll be into the cherry section by the weekend - that will be a good push to run the smoker again.
Shot up to 50ºF from 32º about two hours ago. Loaded up with red oak at 6PM, that might be it for the night with these temps.
22° outside 72° inside, burning beech and ash. Beech and shagbark on deck for the overnight burn, supposed to be down to 12° outside overnight. We got almost 6" inches of snow today.
Current temp 18°F headed down to 10°F overnight. The 10" of fresh powder is outta here. Burning all birch in the oakleaf tonight.
