    All that rain we had yesterday froze last night and turned my driveway into a skating rink. I started backing out this morning and a car was coming so I touched the brakes. The front end swung around and I went down the rest of the driveway sideways. I left work early to scrounge up some sand and when I got home, the upper half of the driveway was dry. I broke up the lower half with an ice scraper. I'm good now until we get the 7-11" predicted for Wednesday.:headbang:

    I've already told my boss I will be leaving at noon so that I can stay out of the ridiculousness of other drivers along 101 & 114 (and they won't have closed down 149 yet so I won't have to go the long way around). I can remote in from home if needed anyway.

    I've done that sideways thing down a steep driveway - no fun!

    I was glad I didn't do anything with the couple of inches of snow I got on Sunday - it soaked up most of the rain and then froze into nice crunchy stoff that is easy to walk on most places.

    looks like i'm in the 1" zone.... I'm good with that!:D No snow on the ground now. burning LaCrete and MWP softi. Next up - a couple of bags each of North Country and Vermonts that TTdberg brought me.

    I hope so, my son had a speed demon when he was home for Christmas, took just a few to get him out of the yard, I am sure he had a few words for the car rental place at the airport.

    Plowed 2 times today,storm that was gonna miss us turned,lol.will be plowing in AM.The lower part of my driveway,and most of the mountain road,is 2-3" thick ice,lol,so I prefer to leave the snow,but my new califorina think it needs plowed.They are destroying their trucks trying to get the ice up.Too early.Maybe in 4 weeks.OK looks like movie and beer time,lol.
