I had a wonderful time as well with TurboDiesel and Redfin. They did quite well. I know that it was a little smokey. I was going to get up on the roof in the morning to remove the storm cap to allow more smoke out of the chimney but the roof was too snowy.

I was to busy helping and forgot about pictures but I did take one of Redfin in action.

I am putting a hot counter in my kitchen beside my stove it's made out of 1/4" plate steel 18' X 5' long. Here's the start of one of the support brackets though not finished yet I still need to put a twist between the curls and probably going to do something to take up the dead space in the bracket to dress it up. The short end of the bracket is 18" X 2' 6" tall. I would have liked to make the curls more uniform but I don't have a jig set up to do that so each curl is a little different. You can definitely tell that it's hand made!  Hey I am no expert but I try.

Bring those brackets down to the house when you're ready to weld them and we will blind-weld them. Or we can rivet them.

That's what I had in mind was a blind weld.

Nice work guys!!!!! Looks like a blast I wanted to come down and beat on something, but the 5 hour drive with a vehicle that looks like this :headbang: EB594B75-727C-42CD-B980-57C3A04913C6.jpeg Just wasn’t in the cards this weekend. :( I do have to thank blacksmith though for some needed long distance technical support with the job though! :handshake:

Uh oh. There is a tool to get the broken plugs out without taking the heads off.
Probly a bit late for that tho.

And... if the mileage is high and you are keeping it you may want to think about changing the VCT solonoids and phasers so you won’t have to go back in there...

Yeah he has the tool but when he put it in to push the porcelain part down it just pushed the whole thing into the cylinder! That sucks.

I mentioned that too him! It's a good idea and the engine will run like new and get rid of the 5.4 tick noise as they call it. I changed the timing in my F-250 and couldn't be happier. It now has 192,000 miles on it and the engine runs quiet and sounds like new!
