You would probably be in a t shirt if you were helping me load my garage today! I guess it all depends on what you are used to eh? Most of my family is from the Vancouver area BC and think me and the fam live in a real cold region. Nope!
We had a female that looked just like Tundra . But had brown eyes years ago . I got talked in to getting a male Siberian husky Grizzly temperaments the same. Just alot stronger and a lot of territorial marking. lol.. I take him for walks it turns in to him pulling me everywhere he always wants to pick up the pace get to his troting speed he likes but it's really bit faster then a fast walk he can do that speed for ever in the winter. Summer is a different story shade and his kids pool is the place to be .. -6f no wind oak slabs burning 81f in livingroom . Heat550 Sent from my LG-H900 using Tapatalk
Good looking pup! We tried the kid pool for Tundra but she would pee in it and then lay down! That didnt last long. We used this for our running. I dont own shares in this company but I should since they are great! Huskies are mischievous wanderers as you know and with mine I can let her off leash once weve been hiking for an hour or so but not before otherwise she will be off in the hills barking at who knows what!
That's pretty cool .. I can only see one catch to that . If Grizzly seen rabbit squirrel or deer .. I would be in serious trouble .. ooo one more issue dog in heat 5 miles away .. he's bad that way ..I know my female husky I had would loved it . She wasn't as strong as this one . But I can see it would work great with some training . Thanks for the link .. Heat550 I was shopping harness so grizzly can pull my niece and nephew around on a sled. They would love it .. 71 F inside.... 4 F Outside.... Before I went to bed the Weather app was talking about 15-17 outside... Well... I think someone missed it again. Glad I second guessed them and loaded with a biggo chunk of Hedge and Some oak...
Not sure. It's not something you expect to see around here much... although there's apparently quite a bit halfway to Madison. My sister in law has picked up Osage Oranges at the local farmers market.
Only about 4 here this morning. I didn’t know it was going to get that cold. Haven’t been paying attention enough, I guess. Standing-dead-seasoned White Pine in the boiler now after a full load of Maple brought us through the night.
Woke up to 32°F here with a few inches of heavy wet chit. What Gasifier woke up to is headed this way dropping us to a high of 10°F. Light snow falling at the moment with a few more bands heading this way.
Then you really need to get a pair of skis or something like that so he can pull you at his speed! Just think of the fun you could have using his energy!
Just a tad below zero this morning. Now some wind gusts are blowing snow off the trees and it looks like a blizzard every now and then. Still plenty on the trees yet so this will go on for a while.
We run ours. Drive out to the Gulkana airport. There's a road that goes around the back side of the airport. Pull onto the back road. Open the door and let them out . throw the rig in gear and chase the dogs. In the winter it's about 2.5 miles down and back . in the summer just over 3 miles. As fast as they can and want to go. The black dog, an Alaska Husky that's 35 mph . the golden retriever 25ish. When they need to do their business they do. It gets the puss and vinegar out of them for a day. 40 below this morning. Poplar in the stove
Actually there is a spring inside so when he goes the opposite way you dont feel it so much. Its not perfect but way better than holding a leash on the handl bars.
No idea on outside temp but it’s shorts an a jd with ice inside. Still burning holly for the third day and living it
Your like me!! Haha. For those of you who did not watch the super bowl, don't care and didn't hear on the radio today, the Eagles won and supposedly were the under dog to the Patriots, the other team in the super bowl. And it was apparently a very good game , the best in years, and all the commercials sucked. This is all what I heard on the radio. I don't watch NFL football and don't care.
38 yesterday then it started dropping. It was windy overnight with ice and 2-3” of snow and at 11 this morning. Ran some oak, sugar maple and white birch last night kept things around 72. Currently 15 with a breeze on and off running some silver maple and white birch sitting at 74 in the living room. Just filled the indoor rack, you guys guess what’s in it. It holds a heaping wheelbarrow full and usually gets me 2-3 days of burning at these kinds of outside temps.
