I want one of these for bringing wood into the basement. Where did you get it and is it worth the price?
I picked that up at a local garden center for around $150 at the time. We'll worth the investment for me. It has 18" wheels and rolls easily across the yard. When loaded, the weight sits over the front wheels, making it reasonably easy to lift and move. The front has a removable slat to facilitate dumping whatever you have in it. There was a name on the side of it, and the website is still valid - Garden Cart - Large | Garden Wagon | Yard Cart Looks like the design had changed a bit over time. I've had that wagon for over 25 years. I've kept it in a tool shed when not in use. It has moved literally, tons of wood, one load at a time. I would add that I am one to "place" splits into it, as opposed to tossing them in. I prefer to go easy on my tools like that. Care for them, and they'll care for you. Thanks! I may have to modify it for those of us that like to toss/throw/chuck/just get it there/hurl LOL
Just refilled this wagon this past Saturday. Thought I would post the two grandsons hard at work. They are good help and are learning to be good workers. The two son in laws came and within three hours a section of an oak tree was cut, split, stacked on wagon and tarped! Man was I beat!
This is my cousins redneck log trailer that he built. This picture is it's maiden voyage to see how it works, and it works awesome. This is just a few weeks ago. We couldn't get close enough to the logs because of all the snow and the hydraulic hand pump on the boom wasn't working very well probably because it was 3 degrees out that day. So my cousin used his skid steer with the tracks to fetch the logs.
I'm trying to decipher where that came from, what it was made from etc. I love the tow sled my buddy has and let's me use behind my ATV.
The pattern can be found on the internet, you can buy a sheet and make your own. Shipping is not bad they don't weigh all that much. LTR freight is not too bad.
Thanks. It was an old low boy trailer that he attached a boom that he made with a 2,500 lb winch on it for lifting power. The picture that he is loading it with his skid steer is abot 11,000 lbs total. The placement for the hydraulic ram has 3 different spots to adjust depending on how high that you want to lift something. It has a maximum reach in the air of 16'. The only draw back is that the boom is a manual swing so we have to attach a tag line to swing the boom to load the trailer. But hey I can't complain too much it's gotten its fair share of logs over the last two year's!
Just like the teapot song my girls used to sing, "short and stout!". Nice trailer, won't be hauling long logs.
