Ours hasn't gone completely cold since install on 1/11, but I did let it go a bit too long a couple of times and had to use paper to help with draft as coals were tiny and splits were large.

Still working on the learning curve.

It is still early enough to get some good information from this point on. At least it is in Maine. Lots of winter still ahead of us. While I burn pellets, we still will be having fires at night right up to June. My stove is on a stat. I like the stat because when it is on, it burns hot, very few low fires. Hot fires keep the stove much cleaner.

Been running 24/7 since the second week in October. Anytime it warmed up, we just feed a few small pieces and let it burn down to coals. If it gets too hot at night we just close the bedroom door and still have enough coals in the morning.

I think I might have the opposite record....we still haven't gotten our wood stove installed in our new home so we haven't had a fire since about March of last year. We're probably the only people on this site that hasn't had a fire all year. That's right, we have about 18 cords of wood CSS but can't burn it :headbang:

Been running a fire since Oct, 26th I think. No full relights & no paper. Let her burn down twice to clean the chimney, but just throw a few splits in & open up the air. Will hold coals for 3 days. Big firebox = 8 cord burnt so far.

We've been burning steady since late September. However , in January we overnighted in Anchorage and the wood stove was out when we got home. So I'm not the winner.

Have not used a match since 10/28/17, I had no power, but stove has been below 125 to clean chimney and replace cat. IS holds coals a long time, 24 hours is easy not a lot of heat but not out

My stove has been burning full time since mid October. It has been out for maybe 8 hours a handful of times. Close to 5 cords of wood burned so far.

Crazy weather here in SD - 44F degrees one day this week...next day high of 19F...sitting at 16F now....breezy, but sunshine! Hot Blast furnace in basement started the season sometime around Thanksgiving, Dutchwest on the 1st floor has been off/on depending on temps since around Halloween...run both when below 0.

Where bouts in SD?...up in NE corner here. Billijak

In past years I’ve had a one match fire from Christmas or New Years depending on when we where away until sometime in March. This year not so. The 24/7 fire isn’t happening if it’s going to be 50 degrees. I’ve been using quite a bit more super cedars this year.

And I’ll be using one again tonight. Going from 2 days in a row with temps stalled in the low 50s to the 20s.

I think I was 24/7 from early Nov to mid Jan.
The last month it's been on as much as off.
