Babaganoosh I got same cat actually the truth is I got 2.

 

Reference Breakfast at Tiffanys wherein Holly Golightly a.k.a. Audrey Hepburn has "Cat". I'm thinking of a trip to the shelter myself for someone to talk to....

 

Go for it. Just make several trips to make sure the cat has chosen you.
When I had knee replacement, I would have loved nothing more than my wife to sneak Colonel into the hospital or rehab center for a visit.
I was thinking about getting Colonel certified as a Therapy Cat so I could take him to nursing homes when I retired. Unfortunately, he passed before I retired.
Still bonding with the newest addition, Cinnamon. She is very humane oriented but not extremely promising. She could work out with more work.
At this time last year, I had a 10 day stay in the hospital for major surgery on my gut. It would have made my day if a therapy cat would of showed up for a visit.
When my 91 year old mother comes down to visit, she loves Tippy and is seriously thinking about getting a companion cat. The only problem that I see is her cleaning the litter box. She has balance problems and I would be worried about her falling when scooping the box.

This guy (Razz short for Raspution) fell from the storage loft in the garage that was born to one of the wifes wild cats she feeds and allows to live in the garage.
so I was out there working and kept hearing rhe mewing, go looking and find him so tiny but eyes open. I put him back up there with the others went in for dinner and when I came out he is again on the floor.

Go in after putting him in a box as after I put him back once more and before I could leave the area he had fell again.
Tell Kare we are going into Walmart to the toy area and buy a dolls baby bottle so I could feed the kitten. Well turns out Walmart has bottles for feeding tiny pets as well as the proper milk for them.

So I became his moma I would belaying on the couch and he would come snuggle up to my beard. I have picturs of that but can't find them right now. He has been gone for some time but I often think of him and why he took to me so.






Then Luck came, We get a call nearly dark on a Saturday evening after a snow storm. there is a cat in the back yard under a bush from a friend. Called several rescues and they are all closed.

Put the pet carrier in the truck, make the drive had the bush pointed out where the cat was. My wift is the cat person so I send her under the bush to get the cat while I hold the carrier to put it in.
The cat was having nothing to do with Cat woman and ran out in th edirection of the road. I circle the house to cut it off from getting in the road and silly cat came running to me starts rubbing my leg. I pick it up and carry it to the carrier. Idea was we would take it to the shelter on Monday but a doctors appointment and crappy roads put the kbosh to that Idea. Finally it was decided we would take the cat to the vet for a check up and if healthy we would keep him.
He sets and watches hockey games with me. I think he likes the movement really.

I built this tower toy stand for him.




Middle of the night you wake up to this banging, a check finds it is Lucky playing with the golf ball.

I fought my wife and 2 children off for 7 years. NO CATS! I promised when we got a new house then my daughter could get her 2 cats. Or as she called them ” to titties". She can now pronounce her "K"s !

I feel stupid for fighting it so long. The cats are great and I like them better than the dog!

Sawhawgz ...Ruining the internet since 2012....

 

Well I have a new house mate....no not a man....Let me introduce Bandy my new 8 year old female front-declawed beautiful cat. Not from the shelter. A friend heard my lament concerning getting a cat and initially asked if I would watch his as he wanted to travel. Well "watch" became "keep" within minutes. Cat and all paraphernalia was delivered quickly all no charge. She's been here a week and has warmed up nicely ( as you can see) she enjoys opening my closet bifold doors deep in the night for some odd reason .

 

Probably having a senior cat moment. My mom used to get up in the middle of the night to rearrange her closet. Or maybe she hears a mouse. Good of you to adopt her!

 

My lucky likes to watch Hockey with me.

 

Do most cats respond to their name being called? Or is that a "nose in the air" attitude they take?

Gandalf,,

He's an indoor/outdoor kat,,and he's not allowed on the kitchen counter!!

He hangs out with me quite a bit.

He likes the old Cherokee.

 

And I've recently discovered Black Cat, hanging in me woodshed.
No pics yet, but after he discovered my garage is cool to hang out in and it has plenty Purina chow with heated water bowel, we've become pals.

 

My Lucky will respond to his name when he wants. will come when called for treats, to watch a hockey game of figure skateing with Kare.

My cats know their names and will come if they want to. Kind of like some hounds I've had.
