Oh that's an easy one

 

Put it in reverse, right? Loved how they used to put the ignition in the console son ou could fill the cylinder with debris!

Nothing about a Saab was easy. The old 900s use the top of the transmission as the oil pan, so you had to pull the whole assembly to rebuild the transmission

 

I don't know about fixing them, my mechanic did that for 35 an hour and was fast.
But you could get a drink or 2 telling people to put a Saab in reverse. That feature was so Saab could import to usa. Saab did not like if car stalled steering wheel lock so came up with that
