Good day all. Wondering if any of you fellows have ever heard of or know anything about a Englander 24G wood stove. Guy says he bought it new in 1991 for $1100.00 used it for 10 years to supplement heat for his house not using it anymore told me he quit cutting firewood when he put a new heating system in. Wants $400.00 for it. Looks like it would put out a decent amount of heat. I would be using it in my garage/shop.
Dunno anything 'bout that model specifically...but me personally, I'd have a hard time parting with more than $200 for a stove that old.
Slightly fancier version of a standard box stove- this style - box in a box so the blower can push air around the fire box portion.
It may very well be a great stove (I have two epa englanders and am completely satisfied) but again, sounds like a bit high of a price. Maybe in your area, the stove prices are high? I bought a fisher knock off for $125 and that thing will outlive both of us!
