I just purchased a brand new 661R ............. the bar nuts are not captive anymore on that model. My older 661R has captive bar nuts, the new 661R, nada
No way to compare pricing in Sweden to the US. Too many variables. However, having been to Sweden recently, I can say with great confidence that country is generally more expensive than the U.S. Maybe someone could check pricing of the MS261CM, MS362CM, and MS661CM in Sweden vs. US. A little bit of grade school math would give you a pretty good 1st order guess what the US price will be. BTW, the saw referred to in the video is an "arctic" model with heated handle, so keep that in mind, too.
I would guess between the heated hand grip and the light es that probably accounts for $300-400 of the price.
1467 + tax ... in ny state that works out to 1585.36 out the door ... for a brand spankin new 462 ... or for a few bucks more have Hotsaws101 insane-0-ize a 461 (tried and true) that’ll spa-hank that 462 ... I’m not gonna be the 462 guinea-pig to the tune of almost $1600 ... I think I’ll stock up on 461’s instead until they have the 462 all de-bugged !!!
I have not spoke about this with my local(400 miles) Canadian dealer in a while about the prices for the arctic models. That I can remember a arctic 461 was pushin 1,450, n another 150 for the es light bar. I dont think that it will be much more than the 461. All good points previously made, economics. My in town US dealer ther is about 100 bucks difference between each of 441-461-661 and the 880/1 being at the $1,800 mark. I think the carb vs m-tronic is around 75-100 bucks. My guess is the 462 will be within a $100 of the 461, pending same bar. I am pretty sure I am not putting my 461MMWS for sale. Unless it’s for a arctic model.
I’m not gettin rid of my 461 Hotsaws101 build anytime soon ! 461-76.5cc ; 462-72cc ... 461 ported by a guy that knows what he’s doing will STOMP a stock 462; even with equal work I’ll take the 461 with the x-tra 4.5 cc any day of the week and twice on Sunday ! That being said the 462 IS a sweet saw but I think I’ll hold off until some long-term reports come out ... 461 is PROVEN
Did ya ever run an 880 for more than 4 hrs Buckin logs ? I’m pretty sure you “wood” be reaching for the 461 right-quick !
I went with a Husky 562 because of cost granted, but it has become blatantly clear that the Husky 562 doesn't even belong in a forest, let alone anywhere near in class to a Stihl 70 cc saw. It would make a good saw for working wood up on the deck, but in life you get what you pay for.[/QUOTE] What’s up with the 562xp ? Aside from the pins vibrating out of the piston I was told it was a runner ! Lol
Well Fabz , I not so jokingly call it my "Rattle saw." I have lost so many bolts out of that piece of junk, and it is only a few months old. I don't even think I have 400 cord on it yet, and it legitimately needs to be run over.
No I have not run a 880. I don’t have the tree size for that monster. Prior to a few months back 036’s were my big saw that I bucked with. I bought a 441 and bucked 2 tanks with it and walked into a good deal on a 461MMWS and buck with that now. I have been doing a lot of work with a ported 026 lately.
Awesome Rope sounds. Like some good saws. Are the arctic models available up there? Love them heated grips..
I found an 090. I don't need it but I want it. I'm not sure if the guy wants to sell it or not. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Arctics at not available in the US according to my dealer. However I know they are available in Canada. The Canadian dealer closest to me has a good line up of arctics.
Imho if I were to desire a BIG SAW I’d look no further than the 125c super-pro.. over 12hp and endless torque using the 101-a kart motor IF the guy knows what he’s doing
