I hate phones that follow you everywhere, you can have them. No ringing or vibrating on my walks in the woods.

Time for some fun. First had to cut this Pine stump down lower. Still had to leave it at the ice layer.

Then was going to clear a lot of branches off the road but they are froze in the snow. So might as well take a nice Ash down that is right between some Spruce. Had to help it down a bit. Then, first load coming out. Today is going to be focusing on Ash firewood instead. I can get the branches at a later time after we get some melt. Snow is to deep to bring the Bobcat in and push it all out of the way. I took the metal square shovel and dug down a ways to see what it was like in that area I need to clear. About 7-8 inches of snow, at least, then the ice layer, and another 5-6 inches under there.

    Re: Phones
I like being connected. That being said, I just put it into air plane mode when I want to go off the grid.

Good morning. Grey and misty outside, just short of 50 degrees.
Finished clearing the "landing" at the bottom of "windshear ridge" yesterday. Left 3 nice cherry logs on the landing and brought home a monster load of mixed wood. 1st time me and the old hippy were able to stage some wood. That's progress!! Still no room at the top for my old truck but I do believe the 22 degree grinding held up to the dirt.
Was home and unloading/splitting/stacking yesterday when a buddy came by needing my help, threw my load off into the shed and came home from his place with another 1/2 load of hedge and walnut.
Gonna' find my way to the shed today and get busy finishing my chores.
You folks have a good day. Peace.

I also enjoy having mine on my side when in the woods. Most people who know me know I don't talk much on the phone. So they don't call me unless something is needed. It is nice to have it though, if something ever went wrong in the woods I could call someone if I was still conscious.

I'm "ordered" to have my lil phone gadget in my pocket at all times, when in the woods too. At least they're not the size of a brick anymore.

LOL It is funny how they can give orders directly, and indirectly! It's not complicated. Really.:zip:
