Spruce, Fir, Pine, Oak, Black Locust, Birch, Quaken Aspen, Black Alder, Apple, Cherry and Maple. In Process 1 cord Norway Maple, plenty of Ash - should be somewhere between 3-4 cords. Plus a linden tree, with plenty of burls which i hand over to my old man as hes into woodwork stuff. So it might be a cord in the end. By the end of Feb another cord of cherry will be added...kinda losing track.
I believe it's American, and some of it is getting the Beech bark disease. I do burn a little Hornbeam but most of it is small. I did make a couple of hookaroon's from some small one's.
Ohhhhh, let's see...I got quite a hodge podge right now as I get what I can when I can for free mostly. I got lots of ash, some red oak, elm, red pine, box elder, black locust, cedar (I think), silver maple, sugar maple, paper birch, and a few pieces of walnut.

YEAH! Every time I get a new truck load of wood I happily look at and smile knowing it's essentially cash in my pocket! The more wood I burn, the less heating oil I have to purchase. My house is a few years old...like 160 years old haha. So it doesn't have the greatest heat holding capacity.
Just taken a few minutes ago while i was outside splitting some of those ash pieces there. Also some locust sitting unsplit and box elder way on the left. Stacks contain lots of stuff as I posted a little earlier in this thread. No neighbors to pizz off with the chainsaw where I live. It's great!
I don't know how to insert multiple pictures into one post...sorry! Here's just another angle. My stacks are not very pretty...I know haha. But they have been standing for months now with no issues. Two lonely face cords by the shed back there too that I need to move up here. Mostly oak and ash in the lonely ones.
Ash, cherry, various maples, black locust, honey locust, a bit of coffee wood, beech, elm, sycamore, Mulberry, red oak, shag bark hickory....i guess just about any hardwood that grows in NY. But the majority is locust.

Ok I got a cord of sugarmaple and shag. For next year, this year is a mix of popular, ash, beech, apple pine, cherry, white yellow and silver birch and various maples not hard. Its all dry 2 plus years stacked. Also got more of mix for next couple years. Just sorted the good stuff for arctic blasts.
Loaded up the garage stack this evening. Ash, Locust, Maple, Oak, Sassafras and a couple pieces of Cherry.
