P43 cleaned today after church, stopped in and did the BJ's shop for the week. Loaded (topped off) the p68 with NC for overnight into tomorrow, and had a splendid dinner with Filet Migon, asparagus, and some taters . Time to get prepared for work tomorrow and chill for a bit so I can catch some winks . Turns out the Big Heat is good for continuous burning on cold days but as far as warm days like today with the stove in room temp mode a dirty burn....

Stopped at a gas station on a road trip today, got a coffee :hair: it was so burned, blech! I still have that taste after 8 hours.

Got a cup of that a few weeks ago heading up North at a rest stop, it really does 'stay with you' the entire day. :picard:

Liking the Cumberland Farms 'Farmhouse' blend these days, more so than Dunkin. :coffee:

That is my preference if I buy pre-made coffee. Haven't done Dunkin's in years.

Cumbies or Mcd's if I have to have on traveling. Never get swill from the gas station. Might be better off just drinking from the pump?? :loco:

Spoiled by my French press at home. Even cheap coffee tastes better. Or its the K-cup contraption if I need a fast cup. :coffee:

I use plain ole Shaw's instant crud never disappoints as it barely rates as coffee.

If any of you happen to be driving NY or NJ and see a "QuikCheck" store, stop in there for coffee. They guarantee all their blends (and there's a lot) are made fresh every 30 min. Personally, I think their Columbian blend is one of the best coffees I've had (out on the road).

Kathryn was feeling worse Sunday morning and decided to go to the clinic at our GP"S office. took me as well, as my 3 week cold was not clearing up. 5 day antibiotic deal. and some bourbon for me by the fire last night. prolly not helping the antibiotic, but I felt better!

we make coffee in the drip pot on a timer every morning. consistently good, and I don't have to stop for it. just take a cup to work. cheaper, too!

Hope you feel better artc , I've been trying to shake the "crud" up here for a few weeks also. Just when I think I've gotten past it / feeling better, 2 days later it's back. :picard:
At least it's not as bad this time 'round, vs. a few wks ago. I think I'll try the bourbon "med plan" also. :D

Got my taxes done today. I was one of those caught up in the Equifax breach. Wanted to file my taxes before some scammer filed them for me!

I always thought that old folks didn't have income tax worries, man was I mistaken. I should be able to do them myself, but they make me ill just looking at the forms. When I was working, I used to think, "there goes my new care" as I paid my taxes. Now, it is not as bad, but still feels bad when I think what I could be doing with that money instead of what the government is spending it on. I am hoping the accountant can tell me what the new tax law will do for me. I am one of those who thinks that the $1000 crumbs are something.

Bought 150 gallons of fuel oil today. Checked the tank over the weekend and was very surprised how low we were. The cold December/January tanked my tank. Wifey has been getting up early (3 am) 3 days a week so I programed the heat on in the bedroom and bathroom. I guess when its -degrees out we will burn some fuel oil.
I bought her a new, warmer bathrobe today and advised her to keep it close to the bed.:heidi:

I like the ideal of them staying in one piece after a bunch of removals, that's the goal I'm after! I should be kicking myself as the previous workplace(steamplant) had a chit load of them and didn't stockpiled:picard:
But maybe I should rummage around the garage, you never know:D
