I bought the echo 590 with 20” bar for my first saw and have had a good experience. Starts easy, cuts well, low vibration, easy to fill fluids, air filter easy access. No issues in 50 degree or 5 degree weather we have had here just in the past week. Cutting some tree service random logs red elm, oak, cherry, walnut in diameters from 16” to 36”. Very pleased for well under your price max. People debate the weight of a 60cc but I have not found it to be cumbersome and happy with the larger saw purchase.

I preferr to see pictures of your work here, you know; pictures of you splitting a 261 muffler and re-assembling it, pictures of you cutting squish and decking a 261 cylinder. It doesnt have to be from the first or the last one that you did either ................ post them all up if you want.

I am positive that posting pictures of your work could help you to sell some of the saws that you have been trying to sell, here in this thread.

Shameless plug for Fabz work here ................ post them up bud, lets help get your saws sold for you !!

I’d like to build one like that using a KX 500 motor ... I’m sure it “Wood” cut a bit quicker than a 395xp !!! A2F39DB1-4204-4819-A53A-D1C19301A76A.png

I run two saws primarily. My bigger one a Husqy 460 Rancher. My smaller one is a Stihl MS250. Love them both, but I will say, that little Stihl impresses the living hell outta me! Small with big ballzzzz. I'm hoping to get a 562xp though eventually. Kinda pricey and I can't justify it when I have two good working saws already. But I could use the 562xp in the bigger stuff I come across once in a while I think. Dreaming for now. o_O

Welcome, wont be long and you may not be saying I have two good working saws. Next thing you know you will have all sizes of saws. When I joined a few months back, I had six, I have bought 4 more since October and 3 are ported. Its a slippery slope, that I am currently sliding on, welcome to the slope. Lots of good knowledgeable folks will help you spend your hard owned on some good saws. They call it CAD chainsaw addiction disorder, like it, enjoy it own it and welcome to the club.

I too run the .325 on an 18" bar on mine...it's a ripper! Will seek to have it mod'd when the warranty expires...looking forward to that too! Will be examining the switch to 3/8 with the mod...

haha thanks. Yeah, I've only been burning wood this winter as I just moved into my new home I bought from my uncle. So I'm a greenhorn for sure. But I've learned a good deal already from other folks and trial and error but look forward to learning much more! So my entire summer consisted of gathering, cutting/bucking, and splitting wood. He always heated with wood so I kept on the tradition of rural living here. But already I can't walk through a hardware store without gawking at the chainsaw section. :jaw: I also find myself constantly eyeing up people's wood piles and mentally identifying trees as I drive around. It's just as bad as classic tractor fever which I've had for years now. haha
