    That's about right. 30% . Unfortunately it's reality unless you're rich.

X78, rottiman those check marks are not wrinkles, but rather a sign of low moisture content. Grab a drink or 3.

Back at my house with my oldest brother after he's been by our mom for a couple of weeks after her fall. I spent some time with her, she's bossier than ever. I fixed a lot of stuff at the cabin where Mom lives.

I take my brother to the airport to fly home to Portland tomorrow.

My bet is you'll find some punk right at the base and perhaps 3' up but 99% of the rest should be good to go.

Wet and windy this morning. I had to work harder walking against the wind and holding my rain hat on.

Women's Canadian championship curling on today so I should get a lot of knitting done. It will be going for the whole week.

That's what I'm seeing too after they die. Unfortunately this is happening, but there's a lot of great firewood to get.

I dragged the tree out into the woods then pulled all the lights down and put them away. Weird that the tree was still in good shape. Didn't drop me than 4 needles as I carried it off the porch. Guess it can't dry out when it is frozen almost the entire time you have it! One benefit of putting it on the unheated 3 season porch.

Happy Happy Happy. Got a call from grandson. A wrecker is on the way to tote his car away. Dad and him put the car in my shop 7 years ago. My shop is a 2 1/2 car garage. I got into an argument with my son about putting the car in the middle of the shop. He said it was not a 2 1/2 garage. My wife sided with him so the car went in the middle of the shop.
Now I am just a little bull headed, so nothing has gotten done in my shop for 7 years. I refused to work on the wife's car or anything else. I am really excided about getting my shop back and actually looking forward to cleaning it over the next week. There is quite an accumulation.
All my wood working equipment was moved to the side. My Dad passed 3 years ago and I inherited all his wood tools and equipment. They were shoved into the sides of the shop. I have doubles, triples and some quadruples of a lot of power tools. Cleaning and sorting will come first. Then new lights and ceiling repairs. I see a real manly yard sale happening in the spring. Heck, I think I could put Menards to shame on some of the tool accumulations.

Replaced a u joint on the truck.....one day I'll have a garage but today it was cold wet ground.....I won't want to do that again anytime soon. The shower afterwards was the best one I've had in a while. Good to get the rocks washed out of my hair.....

I can relate to cold wet ground.
My truck has been sitting in the driveway with a broken tie rod since Christmas. I have 3 vehicles and 2 drivers, I wasn't going to lay on the cold ground and fix it.
Now that I have my shop back, I will have to take some bailing wire and secure the rod so I can pull it into the shop.

I was hoping you were right.
There is a lot of good wood in there. I'll have to whittle away 1/3 to half from bottom to top to pull out the good. This guy had been on his way out for a while.
