    Isn't there #1 diesel available there ? .
I run mine 1 qt 2 cycle and 1 pint of Mystery oil and 8 oz Power Service white bottle per 20 gallons of #1 Highway.
I run lots of Stove Oil in the winter . It never gels and with the special sauce it starts good.

I've heard different temps at when #2 that has gelled will ungel.
I've never had the ability to wait till it warmed up so always needed to get it flowing with gasoline and when 911 became with 911.

Gel is not ice, so the temperature at which ice melts does not apply. The wax we call gel has to get back up to it's remix temperature, which is substantially higher than the 18F it forms at.

I went through the same last weekend during the brutal cold spell. I was able to get my tractor running after setting up my bullet heater and a light with a blanket over the tractor. I added diesel server and anti gelling solution. At first tractor would start run for awhile and shut off. I waited until the weather broke for a couple of days and was able to run my tractor for a couple of hours moving snow blanks. I never did remove my filter. mmmm Always remember to get some additive in there as the weather gets colder! I have ran Diesel Kleen through every tank in my f350 for all the years i've owned it. I run the summer cetane booster in the warm months and the winter anti gel in the cold ones. Never had any issues down to -20F on the thermometer. I also add two stroke oil to every tank, about a quart. The two stroke oil will do the same thing and add lubricity to this ULSD we have. But you can only do that on the old school diesels without emissions shtuff on them.

Exact same program here year round except I run 3% veg oil instead of stroke oil .
I buy the Artic express (cheaper)and dilute with the diesel kleen in winter and also drop the veg oil in cold months

I run Amalgamated in my tractor and diesel pickup year round...winter blend in winter months naturally.

Ive never had an issue starting my tractor, but during that 2+ week below-0 cold spell we had a few weeks back my truck wouldnt start (1st Gen Cummins). Swapped the fuel filter, added some Diesel 9-11 to the tank, bled the injector lines and she fired right up, no problems since.

Ive never run any additive in my 2006 Jetta TDI...however in VERY cold days (below 0 before wind chill) I drive my F-150 to work and leave the TDI in the garage. Its in a heated (55 degree) garage so starting to go to work is no issue...however Im always afraid after sitting in the parking lot for 12-hours it wont start for my ride home, so I never chance it...drive the gas job and call it good.

The Amalgamated additive seems like very good stuff though, it took 2 weeks of being below 0 before I had any issues, never even a hiccup during normal winter conditions.

The local station sells "off-road" diesel and "on-road" diesel, whatever that happens to be. I use the "off-road" diesel which is dyed red. I also usually mix about 50/50 with kerosene during the winter, but didn't get a chance to put any kero in the tank before the cold set in.

It seemed to be just an issue with the extreme cold we had during that particular week. Yesterday the tractor fired right up and ran, 40° outside. I do have both Power Service white and 911 now, so I'm prepared for the rest of the winter. I'm at about 1/4 tank in my machine so I plan on filling back up with winter mix at the pump.

The off road diesel is simply an untaxed or less taxed diesel fuel designed for farm equipment and other machinery not on public roads. Only real difference is the red dye.

I run #1 highway diesel or #1 stove oil/ heating oil. The highway is ULSD . Which I'm not so been on . But as long as it works. Throwing some white bottle in with every tank is a good thing. !!
