For this year.. White pine Hemlock Red maple Sugar maple Black walnut Cherry Willow Apple Next year same, but add black Locust, Norway maple, ash, and red oak, and probably subtract walnut and cherry.
Lots of ash, hackberry, oak(red, white), locust, cherry and maple!!! Lesser amounts of mulberry, hedge, persimmon, sassafras and pecan
This year it was 75% red oak, with 20% sugar maple, last 5 was poplar and ironwood. Next years wood will be mostly sugar maple, with a little white oak 2020s wood will be about 50/50 red oak and sugar maple. Yes, there is alot of red oak and maple on my place lol.
Excellent first use... That is a smorgasbord of the good stuff... Never burned pecan though.. Sounds interesting... Nice!! I have my eye on a big pignut hickory that had the top blown off...it's pretty big too... I bet there's 2/3 of a cord in it. That's a lot of sugar maple you have!!! I have some, but mostly red...
Cottonwood, Lodge pole pine, Ash, Box Elder, Elm, Cedar, Russian Olive, and Quaking Aspen. You can see that good hard woods are not easy to come by.

There are more than 700 different species! Some are quite distinct like red gum but some are very similar, and quite often miss identified. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Red Oak, White Oak, White Ash, Cherry, Honey Locust, & Pine. Walnut is gone & so is the Silver Maple. Harvesting dead Ash & Elm now to get me through next winter till my Oaks are good & seasoned. Real bummer when you've got 15ish cord of wood that won't be dry enough to burn for 2 seasons.
Love beech too.. blue or American? Blue is better I hear.. like hop hornbeam I got mostly red oak some white ..5 cords 1n half black locusts Half cord butternut hick American Beech 1 cord Poplar.. tulip, for kindling about half cord.. Some kind of really nice dry pine.. not white pine, maybe scotch.. Love it all..
