New (to me) wood chipper!

    Kinda like this one. Bought it in new in '98. It's starting to show it's age but still works like the day it was delivered. 80hp Cummins diesel. It'll take a 12" log.

    So, does green stringy wood bog it down? Just kidding. That thing is a beast. Nice tool to have in your arsenal.

    Oh yeah! You can bog it down when you run big logs through it. Although there is a sensor on the alt. that shuts down the feed rollers when the engine RPM's drop to a certain point. I haven't done that since we started heating exclusively with wood but when it was new, I ran everything through it. It was easier to get rid of chips than wood.
