Got a message from the local pellet house that their early buy program will start in April.

Going to be a couple weeks before I find out what is available and what the prices will be.

Eco flame aren't half bad. A steal at $2.50!

I also liked Platinum Fires which is their sister pellet to Eco flame.

Yep $2.50 a bag. Or Two Dollars and 50/100 cents per bag :D Hard to believe I know lol. They actually burn almost identical to the Rocky Mountains but I get maybe 1 -1.5 hours less burn time from a full bag, empty hopper, give or take. Some of the bags are missing a little bit of pellets but not much, definitely no 3/4 full bags or even 7/8. Not bad all considered. Ash and clean up is the same, no clinker issues etc. They sell them all summer and I will be STOCKING UP. I love this pellet stove. My electricity bill with the woodstove was higher because I couldn't be here to feed it all the time and the electric baseboard would kick on $$$$$

The pellets are pretty comparable in price to purchasing hardwood in my area (no real way to go get it on my own unless I want pine). My electricity bill with the woodstove was about $120 during the super cold times when the baseboard would have to fill in the blanks. My last bill (and probably the first once since I installed the pellet stove) was $58. During the summer using no heat at all, my bills are usually $50 bucks ;). I can handle an increase like that to keep my home warm on a thermostat! At $2.50 a bag I'll be able to heat CHEAP next year.

So I hear this hissing noise. I open the door to the shop/furnace room and the floor is puddle wet. There is water rapidly dripping from the furnace duct work. Next yo it is the main copper water pipe with this misty stream of water spraying out. Here I am laid up with the knee injury. I tried to use that silicone type stuff that is suppose to fix that chit, but it didn't. Put a 5 gallon bucket in the drip. Went to Lowes and got those copper to pex fittings. Had to change three buckets before the son came up to fix the pipes. Lucky to have a handy son who lives close.
