Going rate for a lightly used MS660?

Found one in an area I'll be traveling this week. If it's still there, I'll take a peek.

I'm taking my compression tester and USB mini camera with me to check cylinder. Looks to be in good shape, OEM clutch cover, recoil and bar. Plastic looks to be OEM with correct stickers. Very little wear on bottom.

I seems to be an area that wouldn't demand a saw that size, so that concerns me a bit.

 

I am no expert by any means but I'd say around $650 to $700 if it comes with a decent bar in good shape. That's only my opinion someone else probably has a better idea than me!

 

I'm open to more opinions.

Rope you got a good deal! On a good clean 660 I think I would stop at 650 to 700. About two thirds of new retail. could be why I don't own one yet though

 

The smile that thing puts on my face is worth the price of admission. I think I got a fair deal. I am not aware of what the ported saw market bears. I am as happy a a puppy with two....

Dallas what is the going rate of a 660? You have any for sale?

 

i have a well used one but im alot cheaper than most when comes to buying saws it would have to be in almost new for me to pay over 600 for a 660
ive gotten 461s and 661s i have less than 700 in

most guys dont like how heavy the 660 is for just cutting firewood
most of the saws ive sold are the 50 to 70 cc range

 

just sold a really clean low hr 660 with a new 36" bar and chain for $800

 

Casper i bought my 461 from dall I also bought a ported 026 from @hustihl they are both great to deal with and have become a good friends. I am sure they have saws you can talk either out of. Neither don’t come here and say what he has for sale. They are great people to deal with, and you can do so with confidence. The saw knowledge they have is impressive. They are two good stand up men!

I am no one to say what saw someone should get. Lots of guys here have big saw experience. I can tell you I will never get to cut a tree that the 461 can’t cut.

lol i only ran 2 or 3 tanks through it if that you know how our schedules are

 

So it might have had 4 before you sent it to him

 

lol yes it runs good wasnt sure how many tanks had been through it

 

I might have got a whole tank run through it. I don't think Mike had a tank through it before I got it
