Ive had unseasonably mild weather around here the last bit. -3c/26f at the moment. Im currently burning some doug fir. It hasnt really been warm enough to melt much snow. I went for a snowshoe with the dog this afternoon looking at trees, she sure likes digging for deer poop!

48* here and I'm letting the heat pump warm the house up. It's suppose to be in the mid 50's here tomorrow so I won't be burning any wood tomorrow either. Then the temps drop into the 30'sfor Tuesday so I will fire the stove back up.

I'm okay with it. I was running through some wood during that cold spell and will take this weather. I just wish it would dry up some so I could get out there and work a little.

Cut up a good full cord in the sunshine yesterday, & moved some logs today. Cloudy & 37F here now, no wind so it's not bad. Wood consumption has dropped right off, & that's ok. Another warm day with rain forecast for tomorrow & no real cold in sight. Steady 73 in here with some Cherry on duty.

Az doesn't have the market cornered on STUPID, CLUELESS drivers. My last trip to Anchorage proved that to me . As we live along the highway that leads to America we get the Anchorage/America loo loos going thru. I drive truck here and it still amazes me how outside of reality some drivers are.

Mid to upper 20's now with snow starting. Maybe half a foot or so coming? We'll see. No biggie.

Ended up with a dusting so far. There must have been a bit of drizzle or mist too because everything (including roads) has a little slippery sheen right now.

Thats what I told my kids when they were little. I told them the truth before they decided to try them.

We've skated this winter too, not too many storms or the wicked -20* ones either. 8" on the ground currently.

We have Snow Hare/Jack Rabbit hybrids here, first couple times I saw it assumed it was deer. Nope, no deer around here, just really big bunnies!

Looks like some storms are finally lining up for us. Another 4 to 5" predicted for Wednesday. There's still some white stuff from Fridays storm.........

Thats a real cool picture. We have lots of bunny's around here as well but they are quite small.

White pine and hemlock doing daytime duty here the last few days since it's been feeling like March rather than January. It's a welcome reprieve for the hardwood stacks.
