We really haven't had an wet heavy snow this year, the stuff coming off the roof is more like sugar snow. It's still nice plowing with the tractor, you get more down pressure so even when we get hit with a bunch of snow I can get down to the crushed stone.

After putting in five gallons of diesel in the 4540 and making some trails wider we use when walking the dog, we put three loads of wood in using the sled. I'm hoping that it fills the 4x4 rack that's open.

Love your sled & sled setup. Do you bring the loads directly into the house or bring it to a deck or porch?

I back it up to a window (3 x 5 slider) that we put it through.

Those three loads filled a 4 x 4 rack we have in the basement, I didn't think that it would.

With about half an inch of rain coming in on Tuesday, I'll move some snow tomorrow with the 4540 but grease it before.

We have some rain coming on Tuesday as well. About 6” of snow right before it. Hope we can keep the basement dry this time around:)

Hope you guys stay dry in NY:)

I hope you can keep it dry too.

Earlier this week AccuWeather had called for six inches of snow coming in after the rain but have dropped it down to about one inch.

Our town will be having its winter carnival next weekend so if we don't have enough snow then some activities will be canceled.

Looks like mixed precipitation to start then 30-40 mms of rain after. Probably won’t have much snow left again after this one. Hope this doesn’t mess up your carnival.

Unless we get a big snowfall after the rains, it will mess the snowmobile ride from here to the Thirsty Moose on Rte. 3.

I'm not sure if they still have any skiing down at the State Park.

The Springtails are out on the snow, I've never seen them this bad.

I cleaned the zerts and then greased the tractor and the plow so it's good until the next 8 hours on it, the 4540 just hit 345 hours. I also did a fluid check......all were good.

I moved some snow from around the trailer down further where I've been putting it and then pushed some other banks back, after that I cleared out more snow from a trail in the woods near the splitter.

Since we have some rain coming in, I decided to clear some snow out of the lower side near our house. Most of the water will flow to the northside of our house.

It's crazy weather 4 sure. The thing I like about the plow on the 4540 is you can keep the snow cover on the driveway to a very thin layer so when we get the warmer temps with rain we don't have much ice when it starts to freeze again.

Even though I'm outside when plowing the driveway, it beats doing it with a truck.

Sounds good- this is what i try to do, but there is a little ice. The grizzly makes really quick work of anything under 6". Hopefully we get a decent storm to try out the bota in some deep chit.

Not too bad. We're expecting about the same. South will be nasty

It looks like the heaviest of the rain stayed south and east of us but our driveway is like a skating rink. Maybe around 2 p.m. I'll take the 4540 and try to break some of the ice up.

A sander would be nice. The ice is thick this area. Can u change the pitch on your blade for ice?

Yes, plenty of down pressure can be applied but you don't want to much or those front tires will be useless for steering.
