That video is awe-inspiring, the amount of wood, the neat arrangement, and the beautiful setting. Do you cut all your wood on your own land, or do you have other sources?

I cut on our few acres and I have access to about another 15-20 adjacent to ours with direct access through the woods. My GF's mom lives next door. She used to own the land our house is on as well as her neighbor on the other side. I have access to both properties. I also have permission from the other land owner who owns 60 acres adjacent those to clean up things on the north edge of his 40.

lol @ the sign. Desperate times calls for desperate measures I guess is the saying which comes to mind.

That's great you don't have to leave your "back yard" for wood! I'm a scavenger, myself. You must have some nice machines to move and process it, pictures always drooled over. Post up any dog photos too, on the pet thread.

Greetings fellow wood heat nerds! My name is Ben Turner. I live in rural SE WI. I'm what most would refer to as a redneck. I'm very into tractors, farming, trucks, motorsports, fishing, guns, trees and wood heat, and playing with my saws. Figure I'd fit in alright. Seems like a cool site. Looking forward to joining the group.

Great to hear! I figure there's a good bit of us WI fellers lurking around here. Beautiful area there. All of WI is beautiful IMO. But up central and above is really nice.

Hi all long time looker first time posting. From the middle of Ireland tipperary. Burning a mix of timber and peat in a stove and hope to put in a multi fuel boiler for central heating. House is an old farm house with 30 acres of softwood mainly sitka spruce. Have a few ash trees to be cut up after hurricane ophelia and 2 beech trees that came down across the road with 4 more to be taken down tomorrow by a tree surgeon.
