Working on stairs. Had some leftover hardwood flooring. 20180120_084344.jpg

As with anything in this house, nothing was square or level.

Need to make some treads now...

Cool, I just sold a kids balance bike for $20. Neat deal, a gal bought a used dark orange one for her daughter, this family bought my pink one for their son and they will trade, the internet is so cool. And then the husband happened to be fishing out here to pick it up!?! Anyway WWW took it out to him in his truck so I asked him what the husband looked like, he responded "like a firewood hoarder"

Oh, and he happens to be wearing the FHC World Tour tshirt today.

This afternoon we went to our kids concert. The last two years twin brother and sister have had the opportunity to play in the All County Band concert at the Crane School of Music in there beautiful Hosmer Concert Hall. The acoustics are really nice in there. Very proud of them. One on the Trumpet and one on the French Horn.

To see these kids come together from different schools all over the County, and practice for a day and a half, and play that well together is just great.

One of the conductors said it very well, after thanking the parents and all those who worked hard to put this Concert together, and talking about what a pleasure it was to work with these kids who were so well behaved.

“With all of the bad things that we hear about today. Well...., if this (pointing to all the young musicians on stage) is what we have for our future, we are going to be just fine.”

    Everyone clapped very loudly.

All the bands, and the Chorus, did an outstanding job!

Yup, I have been looking at new gas stoves for about 8 years now! The one I have is from the 60's, works great and I just can't justify buying a new one to replace it!

Don't know what I'm waiting for...

Early one this morning....been up since 3.

Anyhoo, coffee is good! First cup down and went for the second cup...someone (;)) didn't turn on the warming plate for the pot! 2nd cup...OK but drinking it really fast!

Have to make a quick run this morning to get some groceries (no, not bread and milk!) and a gift for some visitors stopping by this afternoon. Other than that, just some homework and ball game watching.

I'm up early too (cat alarm clock) after being up late ( for me). We went to hear an excellent guitarist and singer/raconteur, Caleb Wetherbee, in Mason NH. He's the son of Fritz Wetherbee, the professional NH codger.
Locals, if you ever have the chance to hear Caleb play, make every effort to go!

Mornin' folks, woke up to 29 here this a.m.. Weather guessers say we have a mixed bag of snow, freezing rain, sleet and then rain between this afternoon and Tuesday. More half-arse winter I guess. Rottiegirl is back hitting on all cylinders thankfully. She is taking Miss Dixie for her " Good Companion" dog test later this afternoon. Another step in getting her qualified to be able to go and visit in places like Senior's homes, etc. Cleaned the chimney under the 30 yesterday. The usual coffee can amount of creosote which comes from the top 2' of chimney. 3 year old wood makes all the difference for sure. Sounds like crappy weather makes this a "indoor" day, so I guess we will be "watching some ball" this afternoon. Everyone stay safe and have a great day.
