How do you keep your tractors so clean and nice looking? Mine looks like it has been clobbered for 20 years by a stick of pulpwood?

Oh wait it has, never mind!

Obviously teasing, but like Warner said, it is interesting to see what others do with their tractors.

First picture is KIMG0200.jpg Getting some stovewood out of the shed. Second picture, Granddaughter getting the feel for the new Kubota. Next running a few logs over to the Amish sawmill up the road. Using the grapple to load some logs. Using the grapple to move some brush and make piles.I think the order of my pictures got a little messed up but you get the idea. KIMG0377.jpg KIMG0260.jpg KIMG0262.jpg KIMG0272.jpg

LodgedTree, luckily I have enough buildings to keep my equipment out of the weather most of the time. KIMG0206.jpg KIMG0208.jpg

I see we are a lot alike...even down to the same Fransgard 2800 winch!

A few years I go I was logging Hemlock Logs with my Kubota tractor and true to my name I lodged a tree up. I went to push it over with the tractor but pushed against the outer corner of the bucket...did it a 1000 times before, and it crinkled the whole bucket back! I mean it twisted it. I got some of the twist out, but it still is not right and I really need a new bucket, but it is hard to buy one when the one you got works, just is horrid looking.

The sad thing is, I do too. (But in fairness my Kubota is 20 years old too).

Most of these are mine. The first picture I'd just unloaded another load of walnut a neighbor gave me. Second picture I was bringing some wood to the porch. Got it partly unloaded before I thought about the camera.

Here, I had cut a dead pine and was hauling it out. Next picture was a neighbor taking out a red oak that was actually by our barn.

First picture here again is the neighbor. Second picture I was stacking some wood.

More wood stacking. The tractor stuck looks like mine but was actually chipper1 tractor at our GTG last spring.

Went out today, dug out rounds from a popple tree that came down, but got buried by snow. Brought that to the processing area along with splits that also got buried over to the stacking area.

The Kubota did this with ease.

IMG_2182.JPG More jobs. The tractor is a key tool here (scratch and sniff if you are not sure what this is!)

Took some time to burn a bunch of brush this morning, still going. Wish i had forks or a grapple, but hand loading the bucket still better than dragging all that chit to where i burn. Time for lunch
