We have this project we're supplying pipe bollards for. They changed the finished length for a bunch of them so we have about 150, 12" cut-offs. We're trying to figure out something to do with them instead of scrapping them. 10" Sch. 40 (10.750" OD) .365" wall 29.9 lbs/ft Any ideas?
Weld a few together, they'd make awesome watermelon or pumpkin cannon barrels........................
Golf ball mortar, that could be fun. Planter bases, target stand bases, lawn rollers, small camping fire base/grill, boat anchor.....
Bevel edges, weld to respective height, sell to local businesses that might need curbside protection .... Bollard - Wikipedia Not very fun I realize.
Good idea but they use 4"-6" for bollards in commercial applications around here. These 10"'s are for a State job, just a weee bit of overkill.
Weld bottom rounds on them and use then as pots for plants? Cut them in half and use as Terra cotta style roof shingles? Or armor plate your truck?
scrap..........or save them looking for ways to use them, then scrap them when you are tired of moving them around
Sink them in private ponds. They will be great structure for fishies to hide in. If you don't tell people where they are, your buddies will wonder why you are catching all the fish
Make some smoke cold smoker tubes.... weld some legs to them... weld a offset shorter tube for the wood... Or you could a front and rear bumper for your jeep...
Make a ring of them, fill them with rocks or gravel, and use as a fire pit? Sink four of them in the ground, add vertical lumber supported with gravel, and stack wood inside?
cut them in 1/2 or mabye 3/4 secure to a shelf and use to hold your smaller size pvc, black pipe or copper in should work nice to stop them from rolling around and will take less shelf space.
