I meant to ask you if there would be any advantage in going now… get the training over with… before warmer weather? You'd probably like to have it all in the rear view mirror too…?

I don't want to go at all and will probably keep putting it off until the last minute...

Right where I want to be.
    Nah, just git 'er dun.
One of my wife's brothers lives not too far from there, and our son lives over near 13 mile and Woodward, and he works downtown.
One of our daughters used to work down near the RenCen too.
    You'll be fine.

I know I will be fine but I am still a chicken chit! Big cities just scare me. I once went to summerfest in Milwaukee and took a wrong exit. I stopped to get gas and the guy told me quote "white lady you better get in your car and get the hell outta here!

I cried...all the way to port Washington :)

Muscle up...you can do it!! Remember the beat down you gave the furnace installer?? Walk tall and proud with that attitude and you will shed trouble like Kevlar rain suit sheds water. Like Dex said, go have some good meals on the boss and get your raise. Good luck with the class!

Thanks, that beat down was a one time thing though. I am actually VERY shy. Hard to tell when I am typing but talking, that's much harder.

I'm sure it will be fine, maybe I should just go and get it over with instead of freaking out for another couple months...they do serve alcohol on planes don't they?!?! :drunk:

So tomorrow I am telling my boss to sign me up but his credit card better cover all the liquid courage I am going to require to do this. I've only flown once. It was for our honeymoon in 2002 and we went to Disney world. I got very sick. Felt bad for the person that had to sit next to me...

Cities are safer in cold weather, go sooner than later. I had a client in Southfield for many years and never had a problem. I don't get how people drive that fast on the miserable roads around Detroit. My last run through my kidneys were relieved to hit the Ohio line going south on I-75. Not that you'll be driving a 3/4 ton truck hauling a tractor home through a metro area that is missing a 10 mile section of Interstate but that sucked...

Sorry but I am one of those people. 80 is the new 65.
I see flocks of a certain bird when I drive! :)

No need to apologize, you are in good company other than when I am having the chit kicked out of me by roads in horrible condition. My trailer was airborne with a tractor on it. Driving into Ohio was like coming off Lake Ontario during a gale into a calm harbor.
