Ah, that's cool. Post up pics when you start on that project. Fwiw, my wife ok'd a decent sized tank upstairs. So I'll lbs getting Rick and Rudy, my tank raised ocellaris clowns ( Nemo fish) upstairs soon enough. That will help with adding humidity to the house too. It's going to be a LPS and fish tank. Possibly a cube ~80-100 gallons. It will be low maintenance, but high visibility. Like dis... This is a little smaller than what I'm going for, but this is the look i'm going for. Or dis..
Monin all... ... lightly snowing, 1" so far, gonna snow all day. Perty outside. Have a safe day folks...
There's about 1.5" of snow on the ground, supposed to be light but steady all day with 4-6 more to come. Not sure why they felt the need to cancel school yesterday?
Mornin' all. Woke up to -2 but no snow. Sounds like you good folks along the east coast are getting slammed again. This is a strange winter indeed. Have burned around 2.75 cord so far which is good considering how the prolonged cold has lingered on here. This is my 5th burning season with the NC-30 and it has and is a fantastic stove with seasoned wood. Supposed to mild up this weekend, so I think I'll shut er' down Friday afternoon and give the chimney a sweep on Saturday. Every one have a great and safe day.
Windy and wet morning on our walk. With my foot healed I can walk 5 km or 3 miles in an hour. Not too bad with the rain and wind at our back for most of the walk. Shopping was fun yesterday. Got the wool that I needed to finish a project. Got the fabric that I wanted (desired) at half price. January fabric sales are addicting.
Glad that foot is healing Woodwidow A bit breezy here but temperature not too bad. Warmth supposed to move in tomorrow.
clemsonfor , I'm going to rig some houseplants to get watered automatically from a fish aquarium (cleans the water a bit too) and oddly they use same rockwool type stuff as a fireplace block off plate to grow in instead of dirt. LPS is corals, like the gorgeous ones inside the pictures he posted.
Went to the dentist and then got a flu shot today (first time I've ever been this late). I managed to grind off the enamel between my front top and bottom teeth, $600 if insurance helps, $1200 if not There's a pharmacist here that is AMAZING. Not that flu shots bother me, but you can't feel them when he does them. The first time lil one was running around and I was keeping an eye on her while in the chair, turned around to see if he was ready yet and he already dumping the needle in the sharps bucket! Today, no distractions and I focused on it, barely felt this one either. I really wish he was a pediatrition for lil ones vaccinations. He has a gift for sure. Also, the dentist ordered a home sleep study for me, cool huh?!? Believe it or not she said this high altitude and menopause are a double whammy for sleep disorders (that can lead to night grinding/clenching). Who would have thunk?
I just saw on the news that a Botox injection in the jaw can stop tooth grinding. Still experimental though. Are you getting a night guard?
Wife had me start wearing a nite guard cause she says you're a clincher! She says they work wonders, if you wear them
