    Can someone tell me the difference between rockwool and kaowool? Going to buy some more for both revamping our block off plate as well as I want to incorporate some plants with my aquarium.

    Horkn and Steve and mike bayerl , any thoughts?

    kaowool is made from ceramic. rockwool is made from, get ready for it . . . . rock (basalt)

    Both are very high temp products. I had never heard of kaowool until now. So everything I know I learned from the internet. YMMV!
