I have two stihls, never had an echo. I’ve looked at them but never really asked myself about one.

Guess I’m just going down the road here that any chainsaw or wood buff does...you get one ...you end up getting another. Ad finitum...
A guy seems to be giving away a line of 10 Echos starting with a 310 and all the way up to an 800. $75 to 200 range respectively. Anything that might be worth getting? This is as bland and vague as the ad itself but then again if there is something powerful or perhaps sticks out in the lineup?

I've always ran Stihl saws, but wanted a smaller 50cc saw as swinging my old 044 around for, well everything, (my fav saw) now seem's silly and not to mention heavy!
For under $400 I got a new Echo 390? that here and other saw "enthusiasts" forums the Echo line got good reviews. I have become a believer as well. It dawned on me that I have 2 Echo weed eaters and a blower that all are over 15 years old and are just as reliable as my other "orange" equipment. I'd pick one or two out of that Echo lineup to fill in around your 2 Stihl's.

If it's real, and not real shady, get a cs800 as that's an 80cc saw. An 80 cc saw for 200 is insane. Otherwise, you've got an 026 and an 038.
Heck I'd buy as many as I could of any of those saws if it's real.

I've found Echo to be very very dependable.
I use a cs400 with 14" B/C combo for most any wood up to 10/12"...much easier to use than a ms290 or 2171.
I'm on my 7th or 8th winter running mine and will buy another when I wear this one out.@

I've got 2 8000's new ones are 800's. Rock solid dependable. All metal, no compression release (so just wait till it yanks the handle back) and oils very well.

Yep! I would buy that 8000 for 200$. I would also call the local gestapo and check to see if anyone reported this group of saws as stolen before goen to look at them.

No...When I wrote this, the guy and I had set up plans within an hour to meet the next morning but my daughter wasn’t feeling well with fever. So I let it go.
