Take a hint......being cheap is driving the places out of business. :p

I doubt that it was being cheap, more like not paying attention to what you are doing in several cases I'm aware of.

Nope one of the two backups we had if Bay Haven was closed. Our place in Naples did change hands but is still running. We tried a new place in Standish that has folded the owner should have known to not try the open from 4:00 PM routine in a small town without first becoming established. They weren't really known to the locals and were carrying a lot of overhead. The backup place changed format and picked the wrong one, then they decided to serve store sauce on their goods.

    Got one...
Just had to turn over so much, it lacked voltage at the end...
It has always been a hard starter after sitting a while.
I liked the engines better when they had accelerator pumps, rather than
    throttle enricheners.. also..
Too small a battery to begin with.. a major fault, imo... and it's two years old.

Gave both stoves a quick cleaning. Was going to do it yesterday but it was way too windy since I dump the ash bins out while still warm (not many sparks left, but all it takes is one in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wind). Today it was just a bit breezy so I felt better about it. Tonight we are supposed to go back into the deep freeze in negative numbers again. ivanhoe - you can take your weather back any time now ;)

Yeah ivanhoe , take it back already. :p

Busy weekend here , but they all seem busy these days - putting up 4mm clear Vinyl on the outside frame of the slider Friday is helping out inside, big time. Time to start budgeting for a new slider or french door replacement this summer.

Also received some 10" register dampers I ordered this week, pulled the grates and installed on top to test b4 installing underneath in the ducting. Kept the floor 5-7 degrees warmer last night. Excited to get these dampers installed, PDQ.

Continental Fan BDD250 Backdraft Damper, 10 Inch

Excellent construction: only issue is the spring is weak for the flaps on the 10" model, so some tinkering will be required to ensure the flaps stay closed when (inverted) downward, for the (2) cold air intake registers. Picking up some 1mm (beading/bracelet) elastic cord, to augment the spring / to test with tomorrow.

Today Natalie & I learned how to turn on the Fog Lamps on the '14 Subaru Legacy (small rotary dial, on the lamp stalk), and we retro-fitted -> installed the Cargo net, that was from the '08 Taurus, in the trunk. She's a happy gal today.

Hope you all had a fun day - stay Warm everyone.

I could feel a cold coming on when I woke up this morning. It didn't take long before it took full effect. I'm sitting here with a jacket on shivering while my wife complains it's too hot in here. This sucks.

I am sort of a lazeturd when it comes to that..
But I did a good clean the other warm day..
Why I don't do it like you sapposed to, I don't know.
    What a difference!!!
I use a temp gun a lot on the side of the stove..
After the cleaning, a good 50°-60° hotter.. no changes on settings.
    I'll get it one day.

Fingers crossed in Luneyburg Schoon hope for the best my friend .
Have a connection to the Dutchess County as while I lived across the mighty Hudson I did a few jobs over there, a bit north as in Rhinebrook and Redhook. Actually worked at
Annie Leibovitz place which was insanely amazing turn of the Century stone everything farm including the barns .

The meds you take can do a good part of making you feel cold.

They should know your area is not the trendy old port. When you enter a restaurant, you look around and see what crowd is attracted to the place. Is it noisy with lots of young folks, older and a sea of gray and white hair, or mixed group. That should be the first clue how they need to serve and keep their patrons. When my family ran the deli, they knew it wasn't so much what they charged, it was what they served. Real cheeses and meats. The freshest breads available. Sauces with a taste that holds up using fresh spices.

Who doesn't love puppies? Just that someday I would like to do a bit of traveling and I don't want to travel with dogs. On the other hand I couldn't imagine not having dogs in the house. So while I say no to keeping one of them, I'm not putting my foot down.:)
