Reading this I just did a check of the basement. Thankfully its dry. Not on solid rock but as Will mentioned the foundation drains wont last forever.

The foundation has several vertical/non structural cracks from settling. One use to leak with heavy rain and was getting worse by the year-today it would have been been leaking heavily for sure. I filled it with an expanding poly foam system myself 7 years go and it has been dry since, This stuff works!!

Looks like they have all kinds of new products that may help seeping issues like B and IHP have.....
Seal Your Concrete, Basement, Driveway, Bricks | RadonSeal

I used this on the leaking crack-also looks like the price has come down a little as I poaid 149.00

Went in to the office last night to finish the Server maintenance -> on-site equipment reset deferred from last Saturday ( was -30F temps.) - got back home @ 2 a.m.,

back up early to finish putting the vinyl on the kitchen window..

That ain't happening today. I'll be para-sailing to Hillsborough, with this wind. :picard:

Dunno how much moisture you got IHP - but you may want to crank the heat up, & run extra heaters down there to get some drying in, b4 the change-over happens, while it's still warm outside - because it ain't pretty here anymore. :shiver:

At least you have the spare on hand  and a warm start to do it in.

Warm house here as well as I left in stove temp too Would rather burn half a bag of pellets than 1-2 bags of basement re-heating later today.

I don't buy the "it's too much work to empty the hopper" excuse. All you need a big coffee can or something similar and about 5-8 minutes of your time. :picard:

Woke up to about 28* out with a dusting of sn*w. Temp @ 10:30 already at 34*, suns out, and most of the chit is already gone.

I just laid down Air Gap underlayment. About 1/5 of the basement floor is still bare and I will get to it at some point in time, but that isn't the part that has seepage.

Oh trust me no coin was expended I did everything possible without spending a dime ohhh with the exception of emptying the hopper. Stove is extremely happy with the above average OCD treatment.
Like others had some water in the basement but sump took care of it and insane temp drop as here as well .

Was 53* when I got up at 7. Stayed in the 40's with a good wind all morning. ALL the ice & water from our driveway is gone, big bare spot in the front yard. Right now 27* w/18mph wind, partly sunny. Haven't had any precipitation today. Still 79* in the stove room just on a low burn (room temp, 70*/manual, wireless thermostat just on RUN, feed on 1).

Happened to me also. I found a plastic knife at the bottom of the hopper. Cleaning out the hopper was the first thing I did because it was apparent it was a pellet feed problem. p68 is such a wonderful heater.

It was 33* when I got up and the temp did nothing but drop from there (okay, slowly). Was 26 at 11, with the sun shining. It is 23* now. Windy all day and some flurries. Wind dried up most of the spots that would be slick if the water had frozen. Do still have a partial berm in the driveway from the roof dump. Was hoping it would melt overnight but looks like I will be out tomorrow chopping it up.
