It's an old downspout drain that I've changed to a surface drain area filled with crushed stone. I needed to remove a big pile of snow to give it a chance to open up fully. Water is running across the walkway and to that drain as I type. Pouring out at the moment... ugh...
I agree Dennis. I find water is easier to "move" in liquid form at least... ... not as perty as snow tho.
more than a inch of ice already but the roads are fair thanks to the generous coating of rock salt. im been on back up generator since 11:00 and it is only suppose to get worse.
Ho-lee-$^#^#^@^. Fly from Portland OR to Minneapolis. While landing get text that my flight to Indy is cancelled. They want to route me through salt lake city and get in at midnight. No thanks. Rebook with different airline. Turns out different airline is in totally wrong airport terminal. Have to walk a mile...take a train...walk some more. Finally made it for my flight to Chiraq...then wait 3 hours...then fly to Indy....then drive 2 hours home. Beer me. Edit: flight to Indy now delayed. Flight to SLC looking like it would have been better.
Snow still falling here. 2 inches or so but We got quarter inch of ice at IND intl. Expect to be delayed until dark or after Indy time for runway cleanup here.
the back up gene is still running thanks to the freezing rain and stiff wind here snow is falling now and really sticking good as the moment.
Chicago flight cancelled. Renting a car and driving to Indy to pick up my truck and then go home. I'll never give up.
