The house in question is in west Pittsfield. PM incoming.

-edit- WARMER here. 50 today! Burning pine with a couple ash limbs for coaling purposes. Probably poplar overnight, if I can reach some. Should have done sine work outside, but couldn't resist joining my wife in dragging the baby around the yard. She got a little testy stopping for pictures and a mitten change. :)

It's a balmy 48 degrees tonight. Pellet stove burning on automatic. Purcells in the hopper.

Staying above freezing tonight at 34°F, and possible heading all the way up to the mid 50°'s tomorrow! :hair: An inch+ is rain possible- so flooding, ice damming, etc will cause some problems. Planning on bringing the work van home tomorrow to clean both pellet & wood stoves.

Snow moving in Friday night & Saturday.

Got up to 50 today, headed down to 13. Might need a fire tonight.
Most of the snow is now gone, and we're really looking forward to the sheets of ice that'll be forming overnight.:picard:
Glad we did our running today.

You have a cute daughter. Enjoy her while you can. They grow up way too fast.

57* outside and raining right now so no fire tonight. It is suppose to get cold and start icing tonight, then change over to snow for tomorrow. 3-6" on top of the ice. That is no fun.

-15F now, heading to -26F tonight. Whatever happened to lows around -5 or -10? Anymore, if it's below zero, it's 30 below!

5 more days of this crap.

Stove is currently loaded with jackpine and one split of ash at the bottom. When it goes to coal I'll toss in a few big hunks of red oak and hit the sack.

Pittsfield is a little out of the range I'm from, but I PMed you a contact that may know some guys that operate in your area.

Another way you may be able to find a contractor is through an independent kitchen and bath place. Some of your better independent guys (off the radar, all word of mouth) have relationships with the design shops. Have the skills and are on the ball enough to pull off high end kitchens for demanding customers etc. but run the whole gamut of renovation work.

I let my stove go cold-ish today. There were still a few hot coals this evening. It got into the mid 50's today. Milwaukee hit 59, which could be a record. It's 25° now. Burning pine.

Northeast Pennsylvania I believe. Same warm here today, gave the stove the day off. Firing back up in the morning, rainy day tomorrow and back down to single digits by saturday night...
