We hit 12 with some wind which felt good, we have a temp of 17 at the moment.

With this warmer weather coming in, I'll take some time to grease the tractor and check a few things under the hood.

NOAA has us at 7 tonight, tomorrow night 42,Thursday night 39, and Friday a high of 49 with a low of 14 Friday night.

With the rain coming in and then the freeze up, things will be like an old pair of underwear........crusty.

How to get 4 days out of the same pair? Easy!

    Day one...frontwards.

    Day two...backwards.

Day three...turn inside out and the frontwards again.

Day four...leave them inside out and wear backwards again.

Day five....a nice buttery flaky crust!

We had 4 this morning so we'll let the coals burn down in the wood stove and then take out the ashes.

The pellet stove is on in the other corner until this warmer weather moves in.

Just a guess but 14-16 inches, if we get all the rain they're calling for then some people will see some flooding.

This was the year we picked to burn Sugar Maple and Beech which turned out good, when we first started burning I would worry how much we burned but not anymore.

I have a few things to do tomorrow and then we'll be ready for all the chit coming in, rain, freezing rain and snow.

The lows for the next four nights, Thursday 31, Friday 46, Saturday 9, Sunday -12 and Monday -15.

The rain has started (not hard) and the temp is still 37 so this will take some snow off the roof before the big melt tomorrow.

On Friday we go from 53 to 9 degrees with a possible 8-12 of the heavy stuff so if we get it the Mahindra 4540 will be pushing some snow.

    What are your temps?

Half an inch of rain tonight and just under three quarters of an inch tomorrow should clear the ice out of the Brook.a rapid freeze up
It's raining and almost 50 tonight so late tomorrow that brook should be either clogged with ice or clear of it.

On Friday we might hit 55 and then drop to 7 with some heavy snows coming in.
