Yesterday morning I put my new submersible pump down in the hole in my basement where water had really started coming in during one of the warm spells we had. Can that thing move some water! Cleared the hole out, which is a large one, in like 3-4 minutes. I like it! Turns on automatically and keeps it down to 1/4". Lowes, $120.00. Luckily I had a gift card for $100, cool. Now I just need to rig a hose up a little more permanent.

Never smoked anything in my life...well any food that is. I was considering seasoning it and trying to sell it to a wood fired pizza place or the like. I've heard it goes for $400/ cord

Then again, maybe I should get a smoker.

Just built a set frame for white background or blue screen. Made out of 2x2s and part of the crate the Drolet came in.

You can smoke in an old bbq, or even in a hole in the ground.

Same situation with my basement, the thaw raises the water table and I get water in parts of my basement. I ran some PVC pipe to an old, unused drywell

Good morning. 23 and looks to be a nice day a'comin'.
Was a long weekend at the workhouse and I'm itching to get out of doors.
Might be rain mid-week and if I could get the Old Hippy outta' bed and moving, we might get some wood cut, if the ground has dried enough to get out back.
You folks have a good day and be safe. Peace.

Luckily I don't get too much water. And with this "hole" I installed through my basement floor it now goes there. I cut a hole in the basement floor and dug down about 26" or so. Then poured a concrete floor down there with reinforcement in it and about 5" thick. I then formed and poured concrete walls straight up to the existing floor. This "hole" or new concrete box gave me the extra head room I needed for my 400 gallon "battery" or thermal storage tank for my boiler. Some call it a "buffer" tank because of it's size, some call it storage. Whatever. It holds a lot of hot water and has really made my system perform well heating this big house. I heat 4200 sq.ft. of house, 900 sq.ft. of garage, and all our domestic hot water (DHW) with the wood gasification boiler. I can not even imagine what my oil bills would have been like this winter if I had been heating with oil. Here is a shot of the boiler and that tank. You can see the tank is in that "hole" I was talking about.

LOL. I have a gasification boiler, that is why I came up with my screen name. I gasify my wood to heat my home. My wife did think it was funny that it killed two birds with one stone though. She said, "Oh, that fits you perfect!" Or something like that. I try to tell her it is her fault with some of the things she cooks. She responds with "Everything gives you ......." I probably would be very hungry if I only ate things that didn't.  NEW SMILEYS. YEAH.:firepit::D

Well. Today is time for me to pay the bills. UGH. I need to sit down and get that done. Right now. Then down to the camp to clean the pellet stove and fire that back up. Then, hopefully I will get to cut some wood. Hopefully take some pics for you on a cold morning in the woods. Have a good one guys.

[IMG]And hey, let's be careful out there.

Gas, does the tank also go down the 26" you talked about? If so was it difficult to do the install on that tank?
