Loving the start of a January thaw even if it means a little ice but hopefully that is only at the start. We're really hoping we lose all the snow and ice this week and by the looks of the forecast, that could happen.

Brrrrr, it's cold. But, 5 days out of the next 7 are supposed to be above freezing.....

Barely caught the tanker on her way out, and I mean barely. But I expected her to be long gone already, so nice surprise....

Fuel terminal not the busiest. I like being around when the ship shows up, truck activity is usually at its peak.

So my mom's finally getting released from the hospital tomorrow after her fall. She'll have to wear a neck brace for 8-12 weeks. The wrist cast will certainly come off before the neck brace.

A lot's gone on the past few days. Uncertainty about a lot of stuff, but she's doing better today.

She'll stay at her sisters until Thursday. Wednesday night, my oldest brother flies into town, and he'll drive her up to the family cottage and stay with her a few weeks. I plan on going up north to visit soon.

Did you get your truck fixed. Or at least off the side of the road.

I filled it with dexcool after it cooled off and drove it the 2 miles home. Pulled in the driveway and noticed coolant coming from back of the rig. The rear heater core (suburban has rear auxiliary heat) must've failed. I got the back seat removed and all trim and wiring off. I'll split the hvac box tomorrow.

I'm sure you could simply bypass the heater core back there if you had to.

My Cobalt will hit 250K on the drive to work tomorrow. I'll probably geek-out and pull over to take a pic. of the odometer.
    Sad, I know.

Monin all... :coffee::coffee:... we're headed for our first winter thaw this week with rain on Friday/Sat... :headbang:... even though my back is toast from shoveling yesterday, I'd take another 3 feet of snow over winter hot water rain, any day. Going to have to see about removing some of the snow on the roof before Fri as the rain will add a lot of weight and then freeze solid making future roof raking almost impossible... arrrrrrrrgh... :deadhorse:......... :D... have a safe one folks.

Mornin' Hoarders, Coffee going in, really good this a.m.. Stinny, sorry to hear about your back. The long range weather guessers
are pretty much right on track. They said at the beginning of fall that come Jan/Feb we would have average temps. and above average precipitation. After the recent cold snap I think we will now see snow and lots of it. We had about 8" yesterday and they are saying another 6-8 could be coming Saturday with rain on Thursday. Either way, we are approaching mid-January so there is some light at the end of the tunnel. Everyone enjoy your day.
