Some old. Some new..... Last 2 are the shed full this year. 5 full rows. 6ft tall x 10ft deep x 18" splits x 5 rows 1st time ever I had a years worth in there
Still trying to get organized before the cold hits , got some more in the driveway Here's the pics I have, in the last pic U see that rack getting fuller
We have three cords of kiln dried oak ends in the basement, two week's worth of wood on the front porch, and the stacks in the photos below. We completed the left hand end of the double stack in front of the fence this afternoon:
Awesome stacks and sheds, guys!! I guess a couple pics of mine are in order.... This pic is the "overrun" pile I have going on right now in the old garden.....probably close to 3-4 cord here. Going to be adding to this pile this afternoon (some big cherry rounds i'll be splitting later), grand total of the stack and the overrun pile is around 33 cord, give or take....
You better get busy brother it might get cold this winter. We wouldn't want to see the administrator run out of wood by January.
Here is a couple more pics of stacks. My wood stove stack (Soot eater last weekend) and my latest log load. Got a little work to do.
Scotty, maybe it's an optical illusion on the pic but are those newly split pieces twice as long as the ones in your stacks for this year (background left)? Do you cut differing lenths and if so, why?
Blue, yes some of those splits are a bit longer.....my one buddy bucked the logs that those rounds came from when I was at work the one day, he has an outdoor boiler so he cuts his longer..... They will fit in the NZ3000 with no problem though, so I'll stack them as they are and just use them in that stove..... I'll get multiple pics of that stack this evening when I'm done splitting that cherry I just got the other morning....man I got a nice pile of that stuff!
65'x5' double row 18" splits X2=15 cords one is under the plastic one ready to be covered. Another stack not pictured just like those only 35 feet=4 cords, plus three uglies bins with maybe 1.5 cord total. Couldn't find my pic files, had to go steal them from the last place I posted them.
Here's a 5' wide by 4' deep by 7' tall bin I built for kiln dried oak ends just inside the coal chute in my basement. I have it filled to almost 6' high now. I also have a 9' wide, 6' long bin in the rear of my garage filled to 6' high with the same wood.
