So it was up in the mid 30s today so dad and I got out and cut some wood. My 441 with 20" bar along with my 261 with 16" bar are setting on the pile.

Dad had a helper today at the splitter.

Another shot of me with the pile.

We also cut up and split a small cherry today. It was probably 10" at the base. We will use the wood for cooking mostly. Love the taste it gives a steak.

Hope everybody else had a great sunday too!

    Nice work!

The "heat wave" hit here as well. It was near 30 today when I did cutting, hauling and stacking. Yesterday was like 12° and u cut, hauled, split, and tossed yesterday.

Looking gooder Spencer, I got some wood to cut that I'd like to get at, but the snow is borderline too deep to work in effectively. You can cut, but hard to move the wood around.

What do you cook on where you're using wood as the fuel? Just considering options for my backyard actually.

Its hard work just walking around when the snow gets deep. Not any better to work in.

I use a steel ring with a grate. Looks something like this except alittle bigger in diameter. I think i picked it up at gander mountain.
