Midwinter only my parents call me Hamantha:)

We got about 12 inches than a few hours of rain/freezing rain then a bit more snow. Kind of a rain sandwich. Made for a very hard to clear mess. Had to use the loader the whole time. No snowblower or rear blade for this stuff. We didn’t lose power which is nice and probably because I had the fuel all ready for the generator:)

Glad those who have reported in made out well.

I am tempted to call the Sheriff's Dept about my neighbors: I have not seen them all day and that is unusual.

Here is the scoop though, they are Meth Lab so they have chains and gates up saying "Stay out or You Will be Shot". A few people wondered there and they stared down a gun. I don't want that headache.

They leave me alone, so today on my way by their driveway, I plowed them out...as I said they leave me alone, so what is a good deed? Except they never came out of their house to say thanks or see what was going on, and their truck has not moved and everyday they go to the store for beer/supplies. It is very odd. Smoke is coming out of their shack, but what does that mean really?

This is not the exact design I have, as mine is a bit more simple, where you cut the hole and add straps of steel around the hole, but it is the same thing. Just a weighted flap that opens up as the wind back drafts down the stove pipe.
