The trick is to keep it there with swirling winds and gusts up in the 50's (mph)

Got at least 10" of snow - that was before the wind started howling about 4 pm. Have a couple more hours of the storm before ssnow stops dropping from the clouds (it will still be blowing around until about 4 am tomorrow morning).

Good news, they are talking about warmer temps next week. I really need at least a short thaw - more accurately, my roof needs to take a dump

I only saw that notice because I did a USPS tracking search.....there was no formal "notice" of any kind otherwise.

Oh, well, they are assuming things they shouldn't. They are supposed to put an attempted delivery slip in the mail box when they can't deliver. Talk to the sender they need to hear the bad news from several folks in other words complain loudly and often.

Same here B. Wind is really howling and putting the snow back where I snowblowed just a few hours ago. Lights flickered once but no loss of electricity so far. It won't be pleasant trudging outside to start the generator on a night like this.

Thought I was ready, holy crap, 16+" of sn*w here. Eesh.

Took off 8" of snow off 1/2 the driveway @ 2pm after we got home to park the car, went back out @ 9pm after the winds started letting up some - sure.. I remembered spending an hour out there.. Another 2 hours later, and done.

The Toro Max 724 OE continues to impress: chewed through packed snow over the top of the auger chute like it was nothing. Got the paths to the front door, and basement entrance cleared again.

Cold weather gear here is rated to -20F, but after last weekend: getting it done when it's above (0)F / not waiting this time. Was too.freaking.cold.

Inside of the woodshed looks like a Snow Castle, nice to look at: can't find a dammed thing out there. Know there's a funnel somewhere in the shed.. More fun in the sn*w tomorrow. :picard:

Have a fun & safe day, playing in the snow all.

We got about 10" here. The JD made quick work of it. Man the wind and drifts were awful though. Kept changing direction constantly. Looked like a freezer-burned body when I came back in the house.

Man you guys are copping it bad!!
Hope you can all weather the storm so to speak.
Here are a few pics to help you realise that there is light at the end of the tunnel from Tassy and central Oz.
Goin to be 105 F here today so we have a Total Fire Ban but there is a cool change coming about 3PM bringing it back to around 70F which will be nice for sleeping.
Hang in there guys, it will get better.

Got about a foot here. 20 yr old Yard Machine by MTD 24" 5HP (bought at the now defunct Montgomery Wards in Bedford NH) still fires right up and chews through about everything. Rebuilt the carb a few years back and other than an occasional auger belt it handles our 100 ft driveway fine.

Right on Man good for you, snow was pretty light out here but heard it was wet and heavy down your way or actually some areas around you . Would not want to be shoveling the wet heavy stuff .... Pouring myself some Bourbon and trying not to think about going back to work BAH just going to relax now as well.
